I agree. They are talking about sending aid down there. Fuck that.

It sucks what happened, but that country is complete shit and brought i on themselves.

We have millions out of work here in our own country, and our own problems.

How about we take care of our own first.

Seriously.

I mean we have people here dying all the time because they can't afford a surgery, or some medicine, etc...

And yet we are going to send money down to help a country that has run itself into the shitter over the past few decades because an earthquake hits and drives their country further into poverty.

Lets spend that money on saving our own people, and if there is some left over, then we help.

Or let another country help out these shit hole countries that need help all the time.

I am sick of it bullshit like this.

The country has been in the shitter for some time.

This has lead to a collapsed infrastructure with no regulations, emergency response etc..

The earthquake was not their fault, but a lot of the aftermath is.

i'm not gonna blame them for the earthquake. that shit wasn't their fault and yeah it sucks that it happened to them. i don't, however, feel any pity for anyone who was in NO at the time of Katrina because those fuckers should have known it was coming and found a way out. It sucks for anyone who lived their because their property probably got fucked up, but then again they did decide to live at a place below sea level...

anyway, i'd give 10 million dollars if i had it to cancer research but i won't give a dime to the haitians.

oh, right, because EVERYONE could afford to evacuate. and EVERYONE was healthy enough to evacuate. and EVERYONE was willing to leave loved ones, pets, etc. behind.

To multiple people in this thread, how fucking ethnocentric can you get???

I know this thread is meant to be about Haiti, but I was also bothered by all the news with NO after Katrina... Mainly because Gulf Port and the coast of Mississippi was extremely bad off as well, but no one paid attention to them. They had a casino move numerous feet and a bridge collapse, not to mention flooding, looters... :\

Anyways, this whole thing with Haiti is terrible - and I wish some people would realize this type of thing isn't funny.

Let's just watch as others wallow in their suffering as they find out that 500,000 of their countrymen have died around them and chide them for not having more building regulations and codes.

Rita hit Texas not long after. Rita was a much more powerful storm yet didn't manage to make as much news. Biggest reason why? Those fuckers were smart enough to GTFO

it is entirely Haiti's fault that the earthquake happened. Entirely their fault. If the earthquake hadn't have struck them, then who else? Haiti got hit by an earthquake not just because it deserved it, but also because Haiti caused the earthquake.

Let's look at voodoo. This is probably the chief cause. Why else would an earthquake just up and come to this island and rattle that bitch? There was a lot of destruction and death. It is all Haiti's fault. Anyone and everyone who died died as a direct result of their poor choices. The earthquake was just a physical element.

even war ravaged afghanistan sent money to us after katrina

we asked for and received foreign aid after that disaster.

I think we can spare some aid for haiti

i live ~2 miles from the SC border near Charlotte. As soon as you exit Fort Mill, SC you enter a shithole. When you get to Charleston it's pretty sweet but the rest of the state is TEH SUCK

http://www.lancasterspeedway.net/images/Photos/?level=collection&id=1

last time i went to this track, they shut the track down due to a fight in the pits. witch escalated into a full blown riot everywere all becuase on dude spun some one out in the 2nd turn. when we left there were 20 squad cars at the entrance. and this was a good 4 years ago
