and from all i've read apparently Freddie Prinze jr. is pretty convincing in his role and you get to see it in a shocking way in the first few hours. Should be a good season.

and, I wondered if they were going to go the whole season without naming Hassan's country. They went the first hour, I believe, just going with "your country" and "my country" and "my people" and "the Islamic Republic." But then on the TV during the press conference, the title said "US and Kamistan Talks" or something, then later it said "IRK" (Islamic Republic of Kamistan)

oh yeah, and hilarious how the main terrorist/assassin spoke in a generic terrorist-y accent the whole time, then switched to a typical blue-collar new yorker when at his co-workers house. Then went right back to his terrorist accent as soon as he pulled out his gun

I'm starting to think that they don't do any sort of background check at all when hiring new employees for CTU. A buddy of mine was trying to get into the FBI and I got called during his background check cause I was a groomsman in his wedding. I guess at CTU, as long as you can show that you've been living at the same apartment for 3 months, that's good enough for them.

Renee's character now makes absolutely zero sense. In the last season she was mentally fragile and had problems handling the job because of the tough decisions that had to be made and the sacrifice of the innocent. Yet she was under cover for years as a hardcore badass Russian gangster or something?

I think that is exactly what the producers want you to believe.
Dana and her ex are going to end up being some type of old Bonnie and Clyde type people and she will probably end up in cahoots with the russians or something. Who knows...

I definitely think it will end up tying into the main story somehow...i just don't see how right now.

Why is it that every season they have to pull this stupid bullshit B-plot filler that just slows down the pace of the show and is overall pointless to the show and completely unrealistic. The whole Rudy's brother/Drug dealer plot line from a few seasons back comes to mind (and makes me cringe just thinking about it) I honestly LOATHE this stupid Dana/Jenny/Redneck from the past plotline. ^ well, for one because they have 24 hours of TV to film, and we have to have something to watch while Jack Bauer drives from place to place in the city. Nonetheless, it doesn't make the particular b-stories they choose any less retarded....


It's hilarious how Hastings and the rest of CTU completely turns over the only lead they have to an unstable, highly unpredictable former CTU agent, and an unstable, disgruntled former FBI agent they know nothing about, seemingly supported only by a neurotic geek who's only been at CTU for a month after being out of work for several years.

oh yeah, and I guess that by now, the first place bad guys would look for a wire would be, i don't know.... in the ear!
