^^ i dont know. i hope she fucking cried. apparently shes done this before, so this is at least her second offense of scamming people, so im hoping that she gets a maximum fine/sentence. i wasnt there when she was arrested. she got arrested 12/28, and was released on a $2,500 bail. then had a court hearing on 1/12, but i was already back in NC (this all took place in DE), so i couldnt go...otherwise i totally would have. i didnt even find out that she was arrested again and taken to prison until like a half hour ago, and im assuming she's being held there until we have our court date....not sure when that will be, i havent gotten anything in the mail yet, but im suing her for the $5,000 she owes me. i doubt i'll ever see it, but it'll just be another thing against her record if she doesn't pay up.

I always thought in cases like this the bank dealt with getting the money back for you. At least that's what happened with my sister when her debit card was stolen and used. Maybe it's different because they were written checks?

the biggest fucking pain in the ass ever. this girl was renting my DE apartment, lied to me about everything, wrote me a bad check, wrote the complex a bad check, then just refuse to leave. i even had an eviction notice sent out, which she refused to sign for. i actually saw her face to face a month ago when i was visiting family in NJ for the holidays, and she refused to leave the apartment. i finally went to the police to file a complaint for the check fraud, and then had to go thru the state police to get a hearing set up so i could sue. really really annoying. i had to drop out of school (reason i moved back here in the first place), so that i could pay for the apartment she was living in, so i wouldnt get evicted. total nightmare i wouldnt even wish on my biggest enemy....well, i wouldnt go that far. haha. its always nice to see an enemy suffer.

she didnt ruin my credit. i have identity protection, but the complex was about to sue ME for check fraud since they thought i wrote the checks out.

i contacted the 2 banks that the checks were from and they said theres nothing they can do. the checks were from unopened accounts...both were one of those 3-4 blank checks you get from a bank when you open a new account and theres no name on it. so she just filled my name in.

hell yeah! it feels amazing! especially since i thought that she wasnt going to get what she deserved, because this time last month i was crying to a cop begging him to get her out of my apartment and he said that she could stay there, even though she hadnt paid, and she wrote bad checks in my name. sometimes persistence does pay off! kinda. haha. it would be nice to get my money back, though. but seeing her in an orange suit, handcuffs and tears during the hearing would be almost as sweet.

^^I know I'm never going to get my money back (it's been 8 years already), but knowing those guys are behind bars make me feel better. and for a while it made me sleep better at night too. after it happened, I spent about a month in my friend's apartment because I couldn't sleep alone. (long story short: I was robbed at gunpoint and locked in a freezer)

i love the laws these days that allow someone to stay in an apartment without paying rent for such a long time. Hell, that allow someone to do so after forging checks and the like. Such a great country we live in. I can understand being lenient for someone who just lost his job or something. But this cunt? Throw her on the street and let her freeze. For every person out there that really needs the help, there's another 10 that are scamming the system and fucking people over/.
