For a good laugh, read the included comments down at the bottom of the article.
I was wondering when this was going to happen, as it was the only ones that wernt time renewing. Part of this is greed and like one guy said, im wondering how many people will wake up and really pay their fees. 1/26/2010 11:53:39 AM |

IT certs are not worthless many jobs require them to get in or to get promoted obviously A+ and net+ and security + are wothless but there are plenty which can help you make lots of $$

They are worthless in terms of being an indicator of how proficient an individual is (some more than others).
I've met and worked with CCIEs who couldn't troubleshoot their way out of a wet paper bag. That's not the case for most, but just having the cert doesn't mean much.1/26/2010 4:11:26 PM |

I've thought about getting an A+ cert, just because I thought it would look good if I were to try to get a job as a computer tech. I have a lot of experience, just from building and troubleshooting PCs since I was a kid, but no actual "on the job experience," and I have no idea what a potential employer would be looking for. 1/27/2010 4:34:33 PM |

Its not bad but it isnt good compared to like the CCIE or something. It says you know basic computer hardware, but thats about it. 1/27/2010 5:12:02 PM |
