at work shit takes forever, but our internet isn't the best, so I cant really judge it.


I have a pretty fat pipe at home (that's what he said) though (15 Mbps down / 3 Mbps up), and youtube still just fucking chokes.

actually I bet it might be youtube's plot to get people to switch to the HTML5 version, because there is no slowness at all there.

I doubt it's intentional (especially since the HTML5 version doesn't support ads last I checked), it's probably that the HTML5 version serves different files on servers that probably aren't as bogged down.

I suppose the HTML5 version would help push people to Chrome though, but I doubt they're really trying to force it.

the viewcounts for it have rolled over a few times and at one point reached over 300 million.

that and people upload their dumb hd videos of stupid crap like their cats

I've heard from multiple places that ISPs (TWC in fact) is throttling youtube.

I'm on Uverse and youtube loads faster than ever before, for me.
