Does anybody know of a piece of software like Microsoft Money that can attach receipts?

I've looked at Neato's product line but they only seem to offer receipt capturing but not a full financial suite.
What I'd like to do is start keeping track of ALL my finances in a single piece of software that has the ability to attach a receipt image (if available) to a transaction.

I've used M$ Money in the past and REALLY liked its easy to use interface, but know it doesn't store receipt images. I've heard horrid things about Quicken for Mac 2007 and attempted to use Paperless on my Mac as well.

Ideas? Suggestions?

I use Mint.com too.

There was something I remember reading about for Mac that allows you to do this but I can't remember off the top of my head. I'll have to do a bit of research and see if i can find it again. I think it even let you capture receipts with your iPhone too.

neatco's neat receipts will connect to external pieces of software such as ms money, quicken, etc

intuit just released the new version of quicken for mac. i don't know if it does receipts, but just fyi 2007 isn't the latest anymore

I've looked at Quicken Essentials for Mac (QEM) and it lacked many of the features I need, such as exporting to TurboTax.

Mint.com doesn't provide anything close to what I need, Neato requires me to connect to one or MORE additional pieces of software.

What I'm looking for is an all inclusive solution, one that will allow me to store my transactions like M$ Money / QuickBooks for my personal & business, but simply attach a receipt image to the transactions (in case I'm ever audited).

why not just save scans of the receipts on your hard drive. then you dont have to worry about your proprietary financial software data going corrupt or something.

storing the receipt in the financial tracking software just seems overly complicated for not much benefit. receipts can be saved with the date in the directory and/or filename, easy to match up with dates in your accounting tool.

Well, spoke with Intuit's support team Quicken for Windows does support attaching receipts, however none of their Mac versions do.

mellocj I'm trying to make things simpler for filing my taxes and for audit purposes. By having all the information in one single program it is very quick for me to search for the transaction date / amount and image. If I place them in a folder full of scans then it becomes a pain of entering the dates, amounts, and names twice (once in the receipt software and again in Quicken).

im sure all these finance software pieces have databases with transaction id's or some other similar primary key. just save a pdf and name it primarykey.pdf. if you're really worried, use an indexer like windows search on that directory so you can search the contents of the files without any inherant organization.

^^ i keep track of a lot of expenses and scan receipts. just seems easy the way i do it. enter receipt info into quickbooks and save a PDF of the receipt in a folder for that vendor.

So the solution exists, but you won't spend an extra 40 bucks to get a windows vm to run it in?

Also it's MS, not M$. Maybe you should spend a few bucks on a keyboard with a working s key so you don't have to use $ anymore. And while your at the store, pick up a copy of windows sobyou can run the software that does what you want it to do.
