This is best trailer for this game yet

It was due out in October of last year, but was pushed back and finally has a release date which is June1. Obsidian dev'd this game so it should be a pretty good RPG.

Yeah, I have seen a little bit of the game on Gamespot's website (that you can easily find) and it I have to say I have not really any glaring problems with the game in what little I have seen, so I'm gonna be conservative and say just what I said earlier - Obsidian dev'd it so it has the the potential to be a good game.

This is the espionage-RPG, right?

I've been looking forward to this from what little I've seen of it. I'm a huge fan of the stealth genre, and I'm a huge fan of Bioware (and Obsidian RPGs are nothing if not quality bioware knockoffs), so I should like this.

They have some demo footage that starts at about the 10-minute mark in this video. The graphics look a bit dated, but I'm not really that concerned with that. Just pre-ordered. Gamestop bonus content seems much larger than with most games with similar preorder deals.

^I want to watch that, but I'm also trying to stay as uninformed on this game as I possibly can. I miss the old days when I didn't know what I was doing in new games, rather than being an expert on the game engine and combat system before it even gets released.

eh, yeah, I'm almost definitely gonna pull that preorder.

Joystiq and Destuctoid both completely panned it, and they're generally two of the most trustworthy and realistic review sites. Hell, even the cash whores like GameSpot have given it very mediocre scores.

Too, bad, too. I was really looking forward to this one.

It may not be all bad. I'm going to rent it for sure though. If I were you I'd return and cop a copy from Kmart and save a few dollars. Alas, I am really really disappointed though, I had high hope for a great game, and I really don't think this suggests that Fallout New Vegas will not be as good as Fallout 3, but I am a teensy bit nervous.

i wouldn't read much into new vegas based on this... obsidian has made a very good fallout game before. plus they have a great base to start from with fallout 3.

but to come back to the topic, i did have higher hopes for this game, though i'll probably pass due to all the other games i want to play more.

I don't understand the hatred for this game

I've been playing through for a good chunk now and I think it's a lot of fun. You just have to realize that it's not a FPS. If you have your gun sight directly on the guy, you still may not hit him.

The only gripe I have so far is I'm at the Brayko fight, and after about 4-5 tries I had to walk away for a bit. I don't have the shotgun as one of my two weapons, so I'm wondering if my only option is to reload the mission from the beginning and change my loadout.

I think the conversation system is very interesting, especially how your simple choices can change how people react to you.

After I complete this playthrough, I may play again as a recruit and try and get everyone to hate me.
