They have to be political about it. If they run him out with a bad deal it becomes harder to get a good replacement and looks worse publicly. (think Sendek)

They probably were praying for some school to take him off our hands.....but that wasnt going to happen.

i'll believe it when i see it. But honestly, fowler's days are numbered because he's getting up there in age and has pretty much done everything he can do here.

He'll be a great AD at a smaller school if he so chooses to, and I think we're ready for an AD that's looking to take things up a few notches.

New Chancellor, hopefully a New AD... new start for NCSU. It's the best thing for everyone.

I was talking to someone in Athletics about this rumor and it started because Fowler put his house on the market - but he's down sizing since all his kids are out of the house.

At least that's what I was told.

If they don't run him out with a bad deal it becomes harder to get a good replacement. Otherwise you're sending the signal that we'll graciously accommodate people that are fine with being last in the ACC in every sport.

If Fowler is the AD, he gets credit/blame for all the hires he's made.

Even if it was simple, Fowler is still the AD. And, we paid Neinas to help with the FB hire and O'Brien called Neinas.

Springthorpe did well in his first season compared to the last coach.
Harper did well in her first.
Carter Jordan has had a mixed bag.
Choboy resurrected the men's tennis team from basically nothing.
The results of the Byrne/Stubbs hires were bad.
