ahaha, no

I feel like 22" is as big as I want to go for a PC monitor. After that it's getting a little stupid.

22" max? nah

i use dual 24" at work and could still stand to have more screen real estate. i guess it depends on what you're doing though. if you're browsing the web, a 15" crt might be fine. if you're watching movies on it in the living room, that 32" is probably ok. if you're a day trader, you probably need a few dozen 22" monitors

Yeah, I guess we'd need more info on what he's planning to do...And yeah, for me, 22" is big enough and if I need more I'd go dual and start to re-think what the hell I'm doing at home to need that much. At work I would love to have dual 24s.

single 19" ftl

now that is some stupid shit right there. 22"? lol may as well just use a 17"

although I guess if you don't actually do anything on a computer other than surf the web 22" is indeed over kill.

ok. that's why i said it depends on what you're doing with it. i'm also limited by space in my office and at my desk. so, whatever.

i was planning on doing some video editing and maybe some video game stuff for a research project, and thought a good sized monitor would help me out... i guess i should go with a more standard approach?

^^nah, go with the 37" and lemme see it. lol as long as you can sit a good ways from the monitor (3-4 ft), you should be fine. but apparently I'm stupid.

the first link isn't up anymore, but i will tell my story here.

been painting my house every night after work for the past month or 2... and planning on buying a new monitor for my 'office' area when i finished. (had a 19" samsung for a while)

after much looking around, i finally decided that 32" is the largest size, and i got a sony bravia (klhw32). it is totally fucking awesome, and the perfect size. anything bigger and i'd probaby have to move back from the desk. the only downside is that its by far the heaviest monitor i've ever had!

also, now i download my tv shows in .mkv (720p) format, and they look fucking awesome. working now on running the cable to be able to watch the stuff on my tv downstairs.

I've got a 26" and I wish it was a 24". at 1900x1200, there's no benefit for me to anything larger than a 24" monitor. too bad the monitors with > 1900x1200 resolution are $texas.

i'd much rather have two smaller monitors than one large monitor

3 22" are the sweet spot for me...i could get by with 2 19" wides, would be content with 2 22"s, but 3 is perfect

I prefer the "just buy a really good single monitor approach". Granted, that's mostly because I don't have space right now for two. On my Gaming PC I have a 24" HD LCD 2ms (more important than people realize, the response time).
