https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/timothy-olyphant-joins-fx-revival-171211636.html?fr=sycsrp_catchall

The time has come to dust your hat off. Because Timothy Olyphant officially heads back to our screens. Olyphant will reprise his iconic role as US Marshal Raylan Givens in a Justified revival. This limited series, titled Justified: City Primeval, will take fans back to the iconic franchise in a new story.

This time, the FX limited series will be inspired by the late Elmore Leonard’s novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit. A for the Justified revival shares:

Having left the hollers of Kentucky eight years ago, Raylan Givens now lives in Miami, a walking anachronism balancing his life as a U.S. Marshal and part-time father of a 14-year-old girl. His hair is grayer, his hat is dirtier, and the road in front of him is suddenly a lot shorter than the road behind.

A chance encounter on a desolate Florida highway sends him to Detroit. There he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent, sociopathic desperado who’s already slipped through the fingers of Detroit’s finest once and aims to do so again. Mansell’s lawyer, formidable Motor City native Carolyn Wilder, has every intention of representing her client, even as she finds herself caught in between cop and criminal, with her own game afoot as well. These three characters set out on a collision course in classic Elmore Leonard fashion, to see who makes it out of the City Primeval alive.

It sounds like this Justified revival will feel every bit as intense as the original.

he release also shares that Olyphant will reunite with Justified producers Dave Andron and Michael Dinner. The duo will serve as “Showrunners, Writers and Executive Producers, with Dinner directing.” Graham Yost, Sarah Timberman, and Carl Beverly also join as Executive Producers. In addition, Peter Leonard, Taylor Elmore, and Chris Provenzano will write for the series.

We’re excited so much of the original team can come back together for this revival. Getting back the people who created the show to begin with is often key to these revivals. Hopefully, Justified: City Primeval will capture the drama and the modern western spirit that the original show executed so well.

I loved this show, but it wasn't just Timothy Olyphant that made it great. He was surrounded by great actors. If they don't bring back Rachel, Wynn Duffy and of course Boyd, then it might be a hard sell for me.

Wow, what a finale tonight! Lots of throwbacks to the original show with a cliffhanger that suggests this may not be the end
