so you've got an airport connected via ethernet to another wireless router? any particular reason why?
if not, just use one or the other.
if so, i'm pretty sure you can configure an airport to just act like an AP. 3/19/2010 5:57:14 AM |

Just set up my Airport Express n router and my roommate has an HP Pavillion Entertainment PC with Vista. It's able to find the network and connect to it, however it isn't able to access the internet.
It looks like her wireless adapter is Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g. Is it possible for a computer with a b/g adapter to connect to an "n" network, could that be the problem?
I'm stumped, not that I know a ton about computers anyway... 7/24/2010 4:40:52 PM |

there aren't any passwords or random things you've forgotten to mention, are there?

So when everything is said and done the setup you want is:
1 Wireless Network A, broadcast from wireless router
and 1 Wireless Network B, broadcast from the Airport
and these are supposed to be separate networks, so that devices connected to the Airport network can't talk to devices on the router network?
OR
you want 1 big wireless network broadcast from both the router and the Airport
If the second option, check to make sure your Airport is in bridge mode, that the name of the wireless network is the same as the one on your router and that they are broadcasting on different channels. Also that your roomate's computer can connect with whatever protocols and security you have set up on the airport. 7/25/2010 12:03:58 PM |

I was planning to use the Airport as the router. Would it be better to combine the Linksys router that I have and then connect it up to the Airport? Is the Airport Express not meant to be used as a router by itself? 7/25/2010 9:25:10 PM |
