Hey. Does anybody know of a cheap shop in the area (or within maybe 40 miles of NCSU) that repairs bent rims? Or, just in case someone here is familiar with Wilmington, if you know a shop near the Wilmington area, that would also be fine. Thanks!!

Yeah, I can vouch for Rimguard too, I had a pretty bent wheel about 2 weeks ago compliments of a pothole in this fine city of ours. Rimguard off of Springforest repaired it and refinished it for $200.

^Oh yeah, I saw some guy in a white Acura with state plates pulling off as I was coming to pick up my car. I definitely wanted to talk to the owner about all the things he's doing wrong with his paid search and his website. Put us in contact and I'll shoot you a commission.

Just take a pic and email it to ashley@rimguardexpress.com - they'll quote you based on the photo. There's a submission form on the website but she is teh broken.

Hit pothole in my wife's 2007 honda civic. how much am i going to have to spend to repair (or replace) the aluminum rim that was bent?

while we are on the topic...about how long should a civic's tire last (no crazy driving in this car)?

Thanks!

^from what I have seen on different forums, $100ish a wheel is normal.

Depends on the type of tire. With proper rotation and all season touring tires, about 40-50k miles.

Would that be the link to file a claim with the DOT for things like bent rims or is that just for accidents involving their fleet/people?
