Dr Pond takes the class wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too seriously.

He also has (had?) this really annoying thing about turning an overhead projector on and off when switching slides.

yes. easy. had a dr/grad student, she was nice and friendly. no homework other than preparing your papers/speeches.

the football & basketball players in there enjoyed the class, too (and actually passed!).

Tracy Smith and Marques Johnson were in my class. Johnson was cool as hell. Smith, all his speeches were about 45 seconds.

I can give great speeches about a project I work on or something I know a great deal about (because I'm interested in) but the topics I saw my roommate last year would put me in that 45 second boat.

If you want to be a good public speaker, Dr. Pond is seriously amazing. I loved that guy. Yes, he does take the class seriously
