damn, that sucks. i heard they are extremely tough now on trucks of all types. a fellow firefighter got pulled and luckily received only a warning for not having his zero-turn mower 4-cornered (he did have a strap on it just not one on each corner.). had another buddy actually get a ticket for not having a tarp over mulch being hauled in a trailer even though it wasn't over the sides at all.

Sorry for your ticket but I'm glad to see they're cracking down on ^ that sort of shit. My STI had serious front end damage from a speeding pick up truck with a bunch of shit thrown in the bed that flew out on the highway. Had to pay it myself because the cop didn't want to deal with the paper work.

My Evo has also been hit by this exact sort of thing.

fucking careless assholes who don't give a shit because their truck is already beat to hell.

i have no problems with them ticketing for the uncovered loads and whatnot. the problem is these guys are sitting on the interstate and looking for an easy $. I HAD the load secured, no one uses 2 straps on a brick cube. i'd have nice straps, corner gards and pretty everything you can have to make everything safe, I'm a safety freak. here i am doing everything right and trucks running around with skid steers not even tied down. just pisses me off.

was talking to a trucker today he says it's defiantly increased in the last 2 months. he got pulled and ticketed (this time in maryland, with a pickup no less) and was ticketed 140$ because his safety chains didn't match.

On my commute home a few minutes ago, the town undercover Impala was riding down the road about 3 miles outside of town and turned around in the church parking lot as we passed each other. I was only doing 62 in a 55, but I thought with the wet roads, he might bust me. He just followed me back into town, so I guess he was just fucking with me. Hell he doesn't even have jurisdiction outside the city limits (which he was about 2 miles out of at the time) so he could have really only busted me once I hit the 35 zone in town. That did make me sweat a bit though.
