Seeing how Beardawg61 has become inactive, Sports Talk needs another moderator, as I can't be on all the time, especially since I'm usually at most/all State football & basketball games.

Post who you think would make a great ST mod.

Nominating yourself will automatically take yourself out of the race.

We want users that are not overly polarized towards the Herb issue, in particular, or any kind of ongoing debate that will cause the mod to get power hungry with people that do not agree with their thoughts. Similarly, anyone who complains about trolling all the time are out too for the same type of reasons. Level-headed individuals is the goal here.. Being thick-skinned helps too.

I would be interested since I'm on ST all the time anyways. Is there a post count or premium prereq? I know you can't nominate yourself but I've been an active lurker since 2004 and a poster since around 2007. I'd be happy to be a part of tww since I'm around the site most of the day.

If it was last year I'd be all for being a moderator, but now that I'm in med school I just don't have the time. Maybe when I get to the second part of my third year when I don't have to worry about classes and I'm just in the clinic, then I'd be up for it.

Ernie would be the worst choice possible. all one has to do is state an opinion that differs from his own and that's enough to rattle his cage. It's funny often times, but that is not enough to make up for the fact that he'd be a terrible mod.

Sadly, even though I don't particularly care for any of them, [user]NyMTkE[/user], Ernie, Jaybee1200, and a few assorted others are the only active sports talk posters that stand out. Everyone else is lumped together both by a common generic username with some indicator or State, Red, Wolf or Tke in the title, or the content of their posts is so banal that I couldn't link a certain post with a certain user. No one on this site has any personality anymore. jbrick83 makes a nice effort, along with rallydurham, but their both far too caustic to be seriously considered, and I doubt either of them would want the job anyway.

And I disagree with BobbyDigital. I would be the worst mod possible.
