hey, which class is generally less time demanding, mae315 or 316? In a scheduling dilemma for next fall and need to decide between the two.

Schedule:

ma341 (zenkov)
mae301 (Gopalarathnam)
mae305(gilbert)
mae308(saveliev)
MAE315(ro) or MAE316(jiang)
other classes for minor...

Personally, I thought 316 was easier. I took it with Zhu in Spring 09. Haven't heard of Jiang though. I'd recommend Tran for 315 unless you take 315 and 435 with Ro (if you like his style).

315 vs. 316 really depends on the teacher you get, but i know 315 w/ Ro is gonna be time demanding. i'd take my chances with Jiang in 316 and hope Tran is teaching 315 next year.

Honestly I really think it depends on where your strengths are. I can tell you this, I had Ro for Controls and I didn't think he was that good of a professor, I mean I got a B, but that was only because of a gracious curve he gave.
