that's a slightly earlier version of the engine in the 93+ Rx-7. Some of the electronics are older. The intake ports flow a lot more and the exhaust ports flow a lot less. The 3 rotors were pretty rare, as that was pretty much like owning an Aston Martin.
I really like the interior though. It's like what the NSX should've been. It looks even better than my 97 Q45. And these things had GPS navigation back in 1990, no joke.
here's a vid of the interior http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZoWzj4hdwmU . This is a later model with different style seats, and unfortunately it has an aftermarket headunit. 4/13/2010 1:35:30 AM |

Why should the interior of an NSX look like a Cadillac? I'd prefer it look like a semi no frills sports car.

That's a 13b under that hood, not a 20b.
But yeah, long live the 3 rotor.

Or if you're lucky, sitting inside waiting for the tow truck in comfort

The interior reminds me in some ways of my '96 Lincoln Mark VIII. 4/13/2010 4:11:08 PM |

those pics are from an ad in Canada. I think they wanted about $9000 US for it, which seems reasonable given its condition.

it doesn't surprise me, especially given Mazda and Ford's partnership over the decades. There are some similarities in exterior styling as well:

There are, aren't there? You even found one that looked almost identical to mine, though mine had polished wheels.
The styling of the Cosmo also reminds me of an overgrown S13 notch in some ways. But I'd still drive it... 4/13/2010 5:41:31 PM |
