It certainly started out with a bang! Keith was always a douche anyways. Like a season or two ago where he put down right on top of Phil's pots. Not cool.

If the cranes could move faster they could have just swung them out into the water more, which would have been awesome. But yeah, getting put into the water 10 feet from the boat in 15' seas isnt what I would call "being safe".

yeah i really hope that was absolutely necessary, cause if they did that junk for tv, that is just absurd

i would think they wouldn't do anything like that, but who knows

great season so far, but it's been tuff to watch cause you know what it's all leading up to

whoops

"EUGENE, Ore. A crab boat deckhand who appeared on the "Deadliest Catch" reality show has pleaded guilty to three Oregon bank robbery charges and been sentenced to nine years in prison.

The shackled 23-year-old Joshua Tell Warner apologized to tellers who attended the hearing Wednesday in Lane County Circuit Court.

The Register-Guard reports Warner robbed a Eugene bank in October 2007 before he joined the crew of the Wizard and robbed two other banks last year after his stint in Alaska.

Warner's lawyer, John Kolego, says the TV appearance led to his arrest. Viewers who recognized Warner as a suspect in the robberies called police last fall, and a warrant was issued. He was arrested in a traffic stop in East Peoria, Ill."

I bet Jake is going to think for the rest of his life that he made his dad have a sudden stroke, even though clearly it was caused his heavy smoking and shitty health. Bad timing.

Phil was my favorite Captain.

Even knowing what happens didn't make last night any less sad.

knowing what happens makes the episode more sad IMO.

I just hope phil at some point in between stroke and death was lucid enough to make things right with jake.

The news report that came out after his death said he had several days after the initial stroke before he died.

it was good they had a chance to look at those photos before he had the stroke

i think he starts to seem like he gets better, and wakes up from the coma, but then he has another aneurysm

Jonathan and Andy Hillstrand have bigger fish to fry now.

The Deadliest Catch stars and captains of the deep-sea power scow Time Bandit, announced Tuesday that they're leaving the hit series after being sued for breach-of-contract by the Discovery Channel.

And they're taking fan favorite Sig Hansen, captain of the Northwestern, along with them.

"We have been through a lot over the past year and unfortunately given the current situation with Discovery we are unable to continue participating in Deadliest Catch," the three crab fishermen said in a joint written statement, first obtained by the Hollywood Reporter.

"It has been a fantastic ride, and we wish the best to all of the amazing and supportive Catch fans we have met over the years."

Well damn, i was mostly interested in getting resolution on the edgar storyline and the time bandit captain situation. If those aren't gonna be part of it, I'm not gonna watch just for the wizard and keith's bipolar ass.

"Statement Released from Captains Sig Hansen and Johnathan & Andy Hillstrand:

"We're happy we worked everything out with Discovery. A deal's a deal. We're heading up to Dutch Harbor to start filming the new season of DEADLIEST CATCH and hopefully it will be the best one yet.

The Hillstrands added: "Everyone worked really hard on putting together HILLSTRANDED and we're looking forward to wrapping that up. It's something new that we hope people will enjoy."

Thank goodness. I had read about how 'Hillstranded' caused some kind of commotion and their lawyer said "Let them move on." so I was concerned they may be done. That would have just left us with Sig (good) and Keith (emo bitch).
