I got an invite. But if I already have a gmail account, can I just merge my webmail into that instead?

I'm hovering over the "Create an account for me / Cancel" portion of the page.

Yeah I knew I could do that, I just wanted to know if I could specify that it would merge my unity acct into my existing gmail account instead of having two gmail accounts that I have to forward one into the other.

Oh well, I put in the merge request. Any idea how long it takes?

main reason i love it (since i already forwarded all my unity email to gmail anyway) is that i can now keep my awesome e.k@ncsu.edu address forever

^So once you sign up for it, they never delete the NCSU email account? Or you mean they never delete your forward?

^ Once you set this up, your mail basically doesn't have anything to do with the university mail system directly anymore. You get to keep the address because your Unity ID is unique.

After migration you have to use the Unity password change utility and set your password, you can use the same one. Something didn't set properly during migration and gets fixed by manually setting your password.

I set up forwarding and it's not working.

I have in the forwarding settings of my unity gmail:

"Forward a copy of incoming mail to _____@Gmail.com and

[Mark North Carolina State University's Copy as READ]"

I sent a test e-mail from my regular gmail to my university gmail. It showed up in my university e-mail marked as read, but I didn't receive a forwarded copy in my regular gmail.
