My AC is not working in my Silver 2003 4cyl 4 door Honda Accord LX.
I tried to put more cooling stuff in, but it had plently. My brother in law has a thing that he used to give power to the compressor, and it works.
So that leads me to believe that either there is a switch that is not giving it power, or there is some sort of fuse that is bad. I don't know anything about car electronics, but is there a resource that is good that I could use to try and troubleshoot?
(yeah, i could take it to the mechanic and pay a few hundred bucks, but if I can make an easy fix, I want to do it!) 4/17/2010 11:50:40 AM |

Yeah if it were black I'd say we couldn't help out, but with the exterior being silver this may actually be something we can fix. 4/17/2010 12:25:40 PM |

You've said a lot on what you've tried to do for a fix, but could you explain a little more in detail on what is not working i.e. does it blow hot air only, air doesn't even come out, last time it worked, etc. 4/17/2010 10:56:15 PM |

the compressor does not come on when I hit the AC button. The fan and everything works fine. When my brother in law manually gave the compressor power, the ac kicked on immediately and was nice and cold.
It worked as of last fall before it got cold. It must have stopped working this winter sometime. 4/18/2010 10:04:11 AM |
