I personally don't agree with it, but our hands are somewhat tied if people don't complain about it. I would encourage you (and others) to let us know where the problems exist, and complain about it often.

idk, its one thing when someone posts useless shit in every thread ie GroundBeef, xsmp, kiwi, RD dat 99% of the time, but i don't think having a few threads that are dedicated to padding are that big of a deal. People just have problems with certain people in general. For example no one ever bitches about the Last thread but it is always on the first page, on the other hand the second Euphalo gets bumped for the first time in 3 days its World War IV [lol we all know that shit gets bumped every day]. And i know this thread is about useless padding...

when "frist post" became too much a problem on slashdot, they simply stopped numbering the replies to each thread beginning at #1... It became difficult to prove that one had gotten "fist pots" so the volume of attempts decreased dramatically.
