its clear that with more movie theaters in more countries, that studios can increase their budgets and still make considerable profits
also bad movies have a better chance of making profits

but this is the case for many types of industries, with more customers worldwide, businesses can spend more on R&D to hopefully create a better product

the flip side to this is that movies seem to generally cost more, and im not sure its all due to monetary inflation
Robin hood 1991 cost $50 mil ------ Worldwide Gross $390,500,000
Robin hood 2010 cost $200 mil------ Worldwide Gross $271,596,290 currently

As far as Robin Hood goes, its because its a rehash of some shit that was done 20 years ago. I saw Robin Hood from 90-91, and it wasnt that great, why go see someone try to remake it?

To be fair, a big chunk of that is from people who assume a flat rate and don't realize that they're being charged $1 nightly.
