Why would they target the baggage train? Dany's army needed those supplies.

Just take out the army.

maisie williams has been up and down for me (which makes sense since she is just a kid) but she was awesome tonight, especially in the crypt

Are the dragons can only be tame/control by daenerys? If so would this be a weakness for her?

^^I don't know how much this leans towards book talk, but Targaryens have historically been good with dragons.

If there was another targaryen out there somewhere.....

Also, just fyi, the dragons seemed to be cool with Tyrion, although maybe they somehow knew he was freeing them.

^Did you see him die?

Can't remember if this has been brought up. Could Bran warg into one of the dragons?

did it bother anyone else how deep the water that Jaime fell into was? He was running a horse through a small stream, got tackled about 5 feet away from that area, and all of a sudden was in 30-40' deep water.

I've been hearing rumblings that it might have been Tyrion that saved his brother in that scene.

If you slow down the frame in that scene, one body flying through air is much smaller than the other.

Maybe this is the moment that causes Jamie to switch sides, and ultimately kill his sister as foretold by the fortune teller in Cercies past.

Blackwater Rush is said to be a "deep, swift river" (although it definitely didn't look swift at the time!).

So no, doesn't really bother me. Rivers can get pretty deep all of the sudden...and there are dragons and ice zombies...so not a big deal IMO.

It was not Tyrion.

I hope Jamie is a Prisoner. I doubt he will make it back to Cersei. He will lose his armor to swim, a visual change hinting at a hopefully switching of sides.

He could end up on his own if he doesn't get captured. Or its him and Bron again.

It was definitely Bronn, jesus. He was the only one close enough as Dany landed right next to the scorpion which Bronn jumped off right before Drogon destroyed it. He was literally right there.

No way it was Tyrion. Tyrion was like a hundred yards away from him. Even if Tyrion was on a horse he couldn't have caught up with him. Even if he had caught him, I doubt Tyrion has the body mass necessary to throw Jaime that far. Most likely Bronn, but Dickon is plausible. Another issue though, Jaime is covered in heavy armor and can't swim with it (as he was obviously sinking quickly). Not gonna be that easy to get that armor off with one hand.

Jamie aint dead...Bron saved him. It's easy to figure that out. The question now is whether or not Jamie is taken as prisoner.

Jon Snow
Tyrion Lannister

Both have dragon blood in them and can control/interact dragons to some extent

Will be interesting to see the Jamie story line from here, still think he is the one that kills Cersei somehow.

Arya is a really interesting character at this point, they did well with her in this episode. got to think she's going to kill Littlefinger with his own blade. Bren knows it was Littlefingers blade. Also was VERY interesting to hear that "bren died in that cave"

Only three episodes remain. Lots of loose ends to tie up. Think next week will focus more back on King's Landing and the Walkers, likely the battle of the dozen.

The shows overtook the books last season. The only potential spoilers there are would be leaks.

The thing about Jaime though -- if he's dead, why wouldn't they just have the dragon roast him? Why bother having Bronn push him into the water? Maybe now his army thinks he is dead but he'll really be taken prisoner or he'll change sides or something (after knowing that Tyrion really didn't kill Joffrey).

On the topic of drowning -- I suppose it's possible if Jaime has a small knife on him that he could cut the armor straps and swim to safety.

He doesn't have blonde hair like his siblings, he doesn't have the same color eyes, his father hated him(sentenced him to death when he was the only Heir) hell his last words were "you're no son of mine" and his mother, Joanna, died giving birth and was a lady of the castle at the time that the Targaryen family was in control most notably the Mad King who was infatuated with Joanna. Not to mention he interacted with the Dragons already.

Melisandre used the power of Gendry's blood to make a gris-gris that forces him to bear the weight of all the fucking travel time the other ships on this shoe aren't subject to.

Blown up, this isn't a great example but his hair is as blonde as Jamie's, they are both pretty dirty. Cersei and the kids had golden hair Jaimie and Tyrion had dirty blonde

Blonde hair, one eye color

Tyrion being a Targaryen is largely a book thing. The show only hints at it with his obsession with dragons at a young age, and when he released the collars off the dragons. She should have been toast.

The books describe his hair as being a paler blonde than other Lanisters.

I don't know if the show even wants to get into it, but Gendry could show up with the Golden company now that its been mentioned. A good way to tie that lose end up.

But without Bran, how can anyone know they have Targaryen blood without some over the top Dragon interaction.

It makes it very difficult for the show to deal with when there isn't a mechanism for characters to know these things for sure.

Yeah the books have some cursory evidence that Aerys was raping Tywin's wife and that some/all his children are actual Aerys' bastards. All the Lannister children have shown some fascination with fire/dragons or displayed peculiar Targaryen-esque traits at some point. IMO it's all a bunch of red herrings, maybe to throw us off the R+L=J scent or just GRRM fucking with readers.

Tyrion still killed their father. He's probably still pissed about that. Also, the women he loves still hates Tyrion, so...

Does the show expressly mention that only Targaryen's can ride the dragons. I thought there was mention of another clan (Valerian?) that could control the dragons.

Jamie comes out of his Cersei lust whenever hes around good people. Like Brienne. So lets say he gets taken prisoner and is around Danny, John or something.

In all seriousness he should be more pissed at her than he is.

True, but not nearly as much as the other contenders. He'd be, what? like 1/4, 1/8 Targ?

More or less, yes. Targaryen's are supposed have dragon blood flowing through their veins. 3 dragons have almost always suggested 3 Targaryens, assuming one doesn't get picked off by a scorpion. So Dany, Jon, and my money is on Tyrion (who it could also be argued is the Lord of Light).

Quote :

I agree. He's the one that will kill Cersei. Bronn saved his ass, they'll both be taken captive by Dany. And we'll get to see more Tyrion and Bronn scenes finally...I've really missed their dynamic.

^Bronn's response to most things usually bring the lols. The actor who plays him is really good at delivery.

Quote :

This. Especially around Tyrion. It's been a while but if you watch the interaction between Jaime and Tyrion in the first season, you can tell they love each other despite all the shit Tyrion got in life and all the advantages Jaime had. Yes, Tyrion still killed Tywin, but when you look at everything that happened from his point of view (which Tyrion is very good at conveying), it wasn't entirely unjustified. Jaime saved Tyrion's life and now maybe Tyrion will return the favor.

^Just speculation. Everyone thought it was Stannis up until he fucked up. Of the people left, the only major "good guys" left are him and Jon. I guess if Jaime has a complete 180 degree turn he could end up as the Lord of Light since he's been working the redemption angle for a while but it doesn't seem likely.
