Ugh. So far, pretty disappointed. But I'll give it a few more plays and see how I feel in a week or two. Right now, Rising Down is much better, and I thought that album was just slightly above average.

i thought it really hit its stride after the 3rd track. it was kind of weird/ambient for the first handful of tracks though. kind of too laid back for BT

first half of the album has a coolout vibe that seems uninspired and uninteresting. second half sounds like real roots material. guarantee you don't hear anything before dillatude at a show.

great album, MUCH better than "rising down". sure, not all upbeat tracks, but the lyrics are on point, on every song. blu and phonte work well with black thought, hope they do much more work together.

^^ pretty sure "now or never", "how i got over" and "dear god 2.0" will be played at every show on their next tour, regardless of the slower tempo.
