I mean, we have users who have named themselves such things as "moron" so what... You want to ban them from posting in Soapbox lest they offend themselves??

Get over this stupid shit, its not kindergarten. We're not special snowflakes. Some of you guys are truly retarded.

I yield. Please enjoy your Soap Box experience, hate and piss and all.

Duke, feel free to close the thread when you see this next. I'm not going to post in it any further.

ha

so the "liberal" envisions a better soap box and is asking people to be more conscious of their actions, but the "conservative" thinks TSB is doomed to a squalor of insults and sniping, and just wants to accept this status quo... very telling...

I have no problem with the idea on paper, but like I said... Your attempted implementation of it seems hugely skewed towards just shutting up conservatives.

(as is par for the course when dealing with liberals... they are very "tolerant" of everything except... you guessed it, conservative ideas)

Yes, one without all those pesky conservatives forcing some level of reality back into the discussions.

how exactly does asking people not be douches skew against conservatives?

That's the most asinine thing i've read all week.

The proposal in this thread is just as relevant now as it was 2 months ago. Some folks that use this particular forum do so with the express intent not to discuss the particulars of subjects, but to (a) merely act illogically partisan, (b) make things personal, (c) a combination of the first two. The quality of discourse here makes this forum no better than Chit Chat, except that fewer people participate. There's plenty of potential for things to improve, but some seemingly want Soap Box to be one of the worst reasons to visit TWW.

This will be my last post in Soap Box. I've been driven away by the lack of civility. Bye, y'all.

I wanted to make a joke involving my surprise that a gay guy could get so easily butthurt but honestly I think that's beneath all of us.

If you're going to act like a huge pussy I'm going to make fun of you.

You know... it's even less effort to not hit the shift key to capitalize the first letter of the first word after an ellipses as dictated by correct grammar...

Hey, I want in!

You know. . .it only takes a little more effort to add one extra period mark ellipsis point and spaces between the points when you want to put an ellipses at the end of a sentence, as dictated by correct grammar. . . .

That is laziness.
