How is this not a thread yet? Y'all slacked off while I was gone. Tree, NyM, rally...I am dissapoint.

After Wall, I see some combination of Turner-Favor-Cousins at 2-4...specifically, in that order.

After that its a crap shoot....I'll be hoping Jordan makes a deal to get at least one pick for Charlotte this year.

So lets get your thoughts, musings, insults, call-outs, flames, analysis, trolling, beefs, insights, discussion and reactions from now up to and during tonight's event.

was close to making one earlier, but the only statement i had for it was "hope the bobcats can get into the 1st round for a reasonable price" and decided id let someone else start the thread, perhaps with the draft order

i see that wasn't the case

You cared enough to post that you don't care, which tells me that you're probably an insecure prick who enjoys schadenfreude more than personal pleasure.

I'm the same way, just not with regards to basketball.

dweedle you never make good threads

Unless you count "wait they have pretzel M&M's now?", "Steve Harvey is the new Family Feud host?", " and "i hate american cheese" as blockbusters

i guess the good news is, if the Bobcats have zero draft picks, that means they can't fuck up and take another Adam Morrison

When I have the back to back wraparound picks in my fantasy draft, I debate over who deserves to go at the end of the higher round instead of the top of the lower round

So yeah, it matters

nets will take Favors

Hinrich and the #17 pick to Washington to free up MORE cap space...trying to get 2 superstars.

smart move

Im interested in who Miami picks with their spots. I think that might make or break the Lebron Sweepstakes.

Miami traded their 1st round pick to OKC....so no 1st rounders for them to take up cap space

^^^ Good move for the Wizards too. I'm so glad they have a decent owner now. With Wall, a healthy Arenas, and hopefully a good free agent acquisition, we might actually be contenders.

[Edited on June 24, 2010 at 4:31 PM. Reason : And hopefully the name gets changed back to the Bullets. And the colors.]

Haha I wasn't trying to reference Arenas' situation if that's what you mean. I just like Bullets better. People up here are trying to get the new owner to change it back.

Quote :
"Charlotte Bobvcats coach Larry Brown was saying the other day that several teams might trade out of the first round Thursday just to conserve space under the salary cap in anticipation of free-agency.

The Miami Heat made Brown's point Wednesday by swapping its first-round pick, plus Daequan Cook's $2.17 million salary, to the Oklahoma City Thunder for a second-round pick. Ridiculous as that sounds superficially -- trade a first and a player for a second? -- it makes perfect sense when you consider that cuts about $3 milllion off the Heat's 2010-11 payroll, as they attempt to retain Dwyane Wade and add another superstar free agent.

The Heat now has four second-round picks, so I assume Miami is a logical trade partner for the Bobcats. You'd think they'd want to swap one or more of those seconds for a future second on the simple logic you probably won't find roster spots for all four of those guys."

At one point Sid thought we may get the 1,3, and probably 5th pick in the draft.
