I know some of you watched it last night.

Between the "Previously on...", the intro, and the end credits, episodes feel like they're 15 minutes long

Nothing groundbreaking from the first ep, although Vince had this weird glazed over look in his eyes the whole time that was either drug induce or the result of Adrian Grenier trying some new look with him that failed miserably

Also, whats a season premiere without T&A?

I watched it.... as I expected, it's a continuation of the lameness that has become this show.

I'm likely just going to give up. I can't handle another season of them whining about thier girlfriends and getting married.

The phone conversation between Ari and Eric actually sounded like this Entourage porn parody I downloaded a couple months ago.

Anyone know where to watch this online? I know there is an HBO on demand but the episodes aren't up yet. I don't have HBO till the end of the summer.

Really, owning an NFL team?

I know Ari has ducats, but thats like a ten figure investment...Billion with a B

and Taylor Townsend is looking better than ever

^Think the assumption is he wouldn't show up with a check for 1 billion dollars. You'd put together an ownership group, investors, etc. work out stadium deals and all that crap.

I too, am losing interest in the show and have for a few seasons but am way to invested. I think one issue I have is that when the show first started it was pretty much one storyline(Vince and E) with some Ari mixed in and then Turtle and Drama doing stupid funny shit on the side.

Once things got rolling people wanted more Ari so his story line started to move forward on its own, and then we started getting another story line going with Drama's career(Turtle was his sidekick basically). Then turtle got shit going, so we now have his storyline, then E breaks a bit more from Vince and now he has his own storyline. So what started as maybe 1.5-2 storylines is now 5 that don't interact with each other nearly as much, and in 30 minutes you just end up with this slow moving incremental and uneventful episode where you feel like nothing happens to any of them.

If the show was an hour I think it would be a ton better, or if they just killed off 2 of them that might help as well... the show would be fine for me if it was just Ari and Turtle as they are the only 2 I find interesting at the moment. Drama is just annoying, E is only good to have around to bring Sloan around cause shes hot, and if Vince isn't partying and banging hot chicks his periods where he goes anti-celebrity life reflectional moments of clarity bullshit are just lame.

There's an article floating around that says basically the only way to make the show interesting again is to kill off vince. I feel the same way about storyarc overload, but at 7 seasons you're pretty much stuck. Just season 8 and then a movie left, right?

I look at it like eating desert after a big meal.

You're already pretty full, but you go ahead and order the desert because you have a little room left and you want to top your meal off with something sweet. You're 3/4 of the way through the desert and you're about to pop. But you finish it anyway because you've already gotten this far, might as well take the last two bites.

Plus, it's not like there's this abundance of quality summer shows that I could be watching instead. It takes me 5 minutes to download and 25 minutes to watch.

Awesome analogy

Ari is like the frosting, Vince is the dough, Eric is the sprinkles, Turtle is the chocolate chips and Drama is the cream filling

I've been using the summer to catch up on quality shows that I missed when they originally aired like Firefly, Undeclared, etc.

The Undeclared episode where Adam Sandler visits the dorm is like a miniature version of Funny People, great stuff.

Quote :
"HBO picked up the show for that last season to tie up the loose ends of the storyline, which means the show will have a lessened episode order. The more important question here is, "What loose ends?" Unless it turns out that Vincent Chase died in the car crash he was in in the seventh season premiere and all of this is his hallucination upon death, the show doesn't have a lot of dangling plot threads hanging out there. Hell, one of this season's episodes was based on what happened when Vince got a haircut. It's just been one, long, happy ascent for Vince and his pals, and it can only be assumed that the series finale will conclude with the "bros" standing, looking out over the Hollywood hills and clinking champagne glasses triumphantly as rock blares on the soundtrack.

After that, HBO continues to threaten to make an Entourage movie, but since it's Monday, we'll feign optimism and assume a just and loving God would never allow such a thing to exist. "

Fact: The only reason Jeepin still watches Entourage is because John From Cincinnati got canceled.

^^ yeah this is the first time i'm truely WUT with the show.

completely not necessary. i'm pretty sure the boys would have dabbled in dust during seasons 1-3 when the hollywood scene was really fresh to them. pointless to bring it up now.

on another note walsh is awesome now.

I almost feel like that isn't even the point. Cocaine is so common now that it's not even a big deal to make it the main part of a show like this. If it was something like heroine, now that could be a storyline. They might as well have made a plot-line out of Vince smoking cigarettes.

Yeah they made him doing coke out to be like an "Oh shit" moment for fans, when most late 20's/early 30's Hollywood types do an eightball a week.

For shock value, they should hould have made him either doing smack or blowing a dude ala Vito Spatafore.
