You have to be willing to put up bigger money than the nigerians selling their shit to overseas.
Went to one a few months ago and was amazed at the prices they were paying for cars. Thousands over what they werw worth. Just buy junk off craigslist that needs some minor work and flip it. 7/3/2010 1:10:32 AM |

Making offers, getting turned down. Story of my life, and no 911. :'(
Re: Auctions, if you're looking for something rather specific, you may not have good luck at a dealer auction. 7/3/2010 1:52:21 AM |

Auctions are good for one thing: a large variety NOW. Otherwise, prices are ridiculous. Craigslist or even some dealers selling trade ins are much better deals. With far fewer problems. Dealers pawn off the shit at auction. I've seen absolute garbage go for top dollar. 11/5/2014 7:48:43 PM |

^^^ They will have tons, and they will all go for several thousand over blue book.
^Yep.
The guys that buy shit at auctions these days (dealer auctions included) are overwhelmingly guys who have stacks of cash and want to buy a vehicle with as little a money trail (and tax) as possible. 11/5/2014 10:18:55 PM |

If I wanted a ford truck, I'd get on cars.com look for a a few years older 2011ish, at a chevy, toyota or whatever dealer...they will list them for a few days, and then send them to auctions. 11/25/2014 9:58:44 AM |

When my Land Rover went to auction it only sold for $500, but this was when gas was $4 a gallon. 12/3/2014 11:52:07 PM |
