Some are easier than others. I'm going to have to take courses outside of my department and don't want to end up in another department's weed out course by accident. 7/3/2010 3:57:34 PM |

I'm an IU alumnus myself and I remember there were some undergrad classes also offered at the 500 level, but most of them were the kind that a major in the subject would take. 7/3/2010 4:27:01 PM |

Good call on statistics. I have been tutoring intro/AP statistics so taking a couple more courses couldn't be that bad and might get me more tutoring gigs.
Also been thinking about something like ISE 514 Manufacturing Product Engineering

I took a 500-level history class as an undergraduate engineer...it was both easy and interesting.7/4/2010 1:51:30 PM |

^ my point was that if you're taking grad-level classes based on their level of ease, you might not be doing it correctly. 7/4/2010 3:29:15 PM |

^ Dunno if you're joking about the linear algebra thing or not...but if you take it with a man named Jing at NC State, your life will be hell. 7/7/2010 5:43:24 PM |

Any thoughts on MA 513: Introduction To Complex Variables?
I think I might end up taking this, but the prof has not replied to me to let me know if he has the syllabus ready or not. 7/7/2010 5:59:07 PM |

^^I never went to NC State, I'm an old-school TCWer, and I aced a senior-level second course in linear algebra in my first year of college (/e-peen)
^complex variables are fun fun fun to work with, but expect a few WTF moments regarding just how much can be determined from a small amount of data 7/7/2010 6:30:47 PM |
