TWW, I need your help! I'm making a hip hop mix cd, but I'm having difficulty finding good songs to put on there. I've listened to a lot of Pandora and other resources, but I feel like I'm becoming more and more selective. Post the best songs you can think of; I'll listen to them all. In any case, just let it be a thread for good music.
This is the 2nd of 3 CD's. The following songs are already taken because they are on the first CD:
1. Deltron 3030 - 3030 2. Snoop Dogg - Tha Shiznit 3. Binary Star - Reality Check 4. Cormega - Verbal Graffiti 5. NWA - Gangsta Gangsta 6. Method Man - Killing Fields 7. Mobb Deep - The Realest 8. Warren G - Regulate (remix) 9. Hieroglyphics - You Never Knew 10. Stetsasonic - Talkin' All That Jazz 11. Ice Cube & Krayzie Bone - Until We Rich 12. Kool G Rap & Nas - Fast Life 13. Hieroglyphics - Fantasy Island 14. Mos Def - Hip Hop 15. Bone Thugs - Days Of Our Lives 16. Nate Dogg - Nobody Does It Better 17. Tru - Bout It Bout It (I want to have something silly to end the cd)
The following are songs that will definitely be on the mix:
Cormega - Therapy Deltron 3030 - Virus Binary Star - One Man Army Dr. Octagon - Technical Difficulties Handsome Boy Modeling School - Waterworld People Under The Stairs - Empty Bottles of Water Common - I Used To Love H.E.R. Scarface - I Seen A Man Die
the following are songs I'm considering: Tupac - Pour Out Some Liquor Warren G - Super Soul Sis Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Part II Fugees- Oh La La NWA - Fuck The Police NWA - Always Into Something Eric B and Rakim - Microphone Fiend 7/14/2010 3:48:52 AM |

i love fuckin killin fields
that and elements are the best songs on that tical 2000 album IMO
im a fan of slower paced hip hop that goes hard (not necessarily just C&S) and those two tracks are perfect examples...also why i am a huge bone fan, they rap fast but over some slow-to mid-paced hard ass beats
anyway for a nice change of pace honestly put some classic DJ screw up there. look him up on youtube and if you like it hit me up and i can recommmend tracks
but for real, lookin up and down your list, you and I have very similar tastes in hip hop...that damn scarface and the ghetto boys hell yea id say get more of their shit
id like to hear more of what you listen to, i can probably get exposed to some good stuff
P.S. If you can find regulate or Gangsta PArty slowed down (not chopped, just slowed) thats a good indicator of whether you like music slwoed or not cuz those tracks are as good as it gets and to me sound much much better slowed....like i said change of pace

YES! The Old Prince was a damn good CD and TSOL is actually getting some press. Just wish TSOL would release in the states. His upcoming Canadian tour with K'Naan should get him some more media recognition.
First releases off TSOL: Rose Garden http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q-mAMH5S6VA Yaa, I get it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Moge_dQPeU

DIPLOMAT OF SWING WITH ALIENS AT MY FEET!
And although I'll assume you've completed this CD in the last 7 months...and while you have a nice assortment of underground/old stuff you have virtually nothing from the South on there. May I suggest:
Curren$y - Audio Dope II Big KRIT - See Me On Top TI - Yeah (Lil' Wayne's in it...[troll]) G-Side - Nat Geo
ALSO...
Fashawn - Manny Pacquiao Freddie Gibbs - Str8 Killa No Filla Das Racist - Hahahaha JK
