Just what the title states. Wouldnt it be nice if the OP could ban specific individuals from posting in their threads? Especially to reduce the amount of trollage in more serious areas such as the Lounge?

users should have the right to make a contribution in whatever thread they wish, provided they're following forum rules. the OP is merely offering a topic for discussion, and does not own the thread.

So you only want to keep people out of this thread?

how do you block a user? That'd be much better actually.

I don't agree with the OP. But I do think The Lounge would benefit from being more actively moderated--other than Omar moving my threads to Chit Chat simply to give himself the giggle shits.

the lounge is pretty goddamned clean, IMHO

i mean, a few snarky/creepy comments here and there lubricate discussion. It's nothing like chit-chat. If you tried to kill all trivial posts in there it would just be boring and discussion would grind to a halt. true story.

I just came to Feedback Forum to post the following thread:

Quote :
"My Thread"

"Each user should get one (and only one) 'My Thread' thread, wherein they may exercise some administrative control.
(bump after 90 days, hide or delete posts (but not edit them), change thread subject, even move thread to different board?)"

...and then I saw this thread. I think my idea is better, but now it will look copycatish if I post it.

I disapprove of this idea.

I do approve of more active moderation on all sections other than CC.
