The only one I didn't know when I first watched it was what I guess is Giganta http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giganta.

The others you might not know include: Black Adam (AKA evil captain marvel and separated at birth twin with Namor), Cyborg from the Teen Titans, Enchantress (probably a ripoff of Scarlet Witch), Deathstroke (who was shamelessly ripped off to make Deadpool)

They look different because presumably they have been fighting a war for years and are all wearing armor.

It's awesome they got the voice actors from Batman TAS, Kevin Conroy is the best Batman, and Mark Hammil is the best Joker, screw Heath Ledger.

Recognized most, except for the one that I identified as Evil-Lyn from He-Man. I probably mis-identified Shazam. I thought he was a good guy and that if currently Shazam he would lose the powers and revert back to that kid... i.e. instand death in the video.

I know this gripe is cliche but with very few exceptions that video had some terrible voice acting. In some cases it was distractingly bad.

i went to the comic con panel for this on saturday with Jim Lee and Mark Hamill. managed to pick up a few beta keys

^and yeah it's Circe fighting Wonder Woman, and Black Adam, not Captain Marvel/Shazam.

they mentioned at the panel that a couple small voice parts in the trailer were done by one of the developers. the green lantern scream, and the "SHAZAM" at least.

The "SHAZAM" shout was so god damn cool, pretty neat that it was a developer.

The Shazam lightning bolt can be used as a weapon too. The guy shouts SHAZAM and just makes sure it hits the enemy, as in holding the victim above his head. I can't find any back up to how powerful it's supposed to be, and I've only seen referenced an attack once before. But, DC is fucking ridiculous with a lot of its stuff anyway

started the beta last friday, got 1 character up to like level 14 or so i think. i didn't play CoH but this is very similar to what i imagine it is like. it's fun, i like the city aspect and running/flying around. there seems to be a lot of customization of powers, including weapon/gun specialization.

what struck me as a little weird is the amount of animal themed skin customization you can do... like you can be a tiger-man, cheetah-man, lion-man, wolf-man, etc... but they're all like how you picture furries.

so might be willing to give up these other 2 beta codes if someone actually wants to play and not just for a few minutes then quit. let me know

they only just recently started letting the people with actual beta keys in. i think even the very first people only got in a couple weeks ago. i expect them to ramp up the number of people pretty quickly though.

Anybody else playing the beta? I got an invite a few days ago. The gameplay itself is quite fun. The UI is pure shit though.

What's really nice too is that it doesn't take long to level up at all. It took me about 5 hours to get one character up to level 20 (the current level cap). Most of which I was spending running around with super speed because of how fun that is.

If anyone else plays, hit me up (PC version). I haven't tried grouping with anyone yet, so that may be fun.

A lot of the non-WoW MMOs will probably be free to play at some point, and just have tons of microtransactions to bring in revenue. There will probably be powers you can't get, or costumes you won't see unless you buy them.

Definitely wait for it to go free. I played the beta for a couple of weeks, and was able to make 4 level 20 guys (20 was cap for beta, 30 is cap at release). There was still 3 weeks left in beta at that time, so they could have all easily been 30 if that were the cap. But, unfortunately, there isn't that much content to the game. After you hit 30, the only thing that's left is PvP. Otherwise, you just run around the city at lightning speed all day.

By the time they decide to make it free, there will be plenty of content, I'm sure. Don't waste money on this game.

The main gripe I have about the way Champions will be is they have removed all customization of your character (ability wise) in the free-to-play mode.

I get the fact they are wanting to make money and want to keep subscribers, but it sucks you can't even customize your powers anymore. Have to select from a few pre-determined molds.

I downloaded this on PC and me and some WoW friends are playing.

I'm leveling ice tank dual wielder.... not sure what the fuck i'm doin yet. lvl 6 on PvP server. Name is Brontu if you see me in game. Been playing a lot today.

Let me know some ins and outs that I should know... aka where to get tha good stuff. My WoW friends are already lvl 20ish but I had shit to do this week at work.

Been playin this morning... getting a little understanding for what's going on. World PvP is gimp. It's all about who can chain their stun the longest and mine is pretty sick nasty. If I get first attack, they're probably dead. Charge + knock up + root + knock up = over
