This year’s Triangle Heart Walk is Sunday, September 26. Last year, Burt’s Bees raised $4,992 for the American Heart Association. We were only EIGHT DOLLARS short of our $5,000 goal.

I am reaching out to the community (yes, even the TWW community) for support in helping our team reach (and hopefully even surpass) the goal this year.

As an incentive to help us meet our goal, Burt's Bees is giving out bags full of our products to those who donate.

For every $10 you donate, you’ll receive a kit containing several lip balms, glosses/shimmers, and tins (retail price >$20).

For every $25 you donate, you get a bag stuffed with full sized containers of shampoo/body wash, foot crème, toothpaste, acne toner, lip balms and more! (retail price >$50).

I would prefer to meet up in person because postage would be paid for with money from my own pocket. I am willing to do that for those of you who aren't in the Raleigh/Durham/CH area, because the donations you guys give to the AHA would be worth it IMO.

So last year, nobody was willing to pony up $8 to meet the stated goal? That seems lame. If you come up less than $10 short this year, i will donate $10 so you can meet your goal.

Since so many people in the company and supporting it collect donations, the donations that arent made online (so checks made out to the AHA that aren't credited to the team until the day of the walk) arent visible. We didnt know we were that close until after everything had been processed.
