I refuse to post a pic, cause it's gross.

I found a dead dog on the side of lake dam road today. It was medium sized, looked like a boxer or a pit bull mix. Completely red-brown and wearing a black nylon/fabric collar. It was a male. I think he must have run away in the last 24 hours b/c I tried to chase him down earlier and leash him, but he ran away and barked at me.

Oh god no. I thought about it for ID purposes, but it made me sick...and too much fodder for some of the more dumbass posters...hence why this is also in the lounge.

IF the owner happens to be a TWWer...I just want them to be able to get their dog and bury it and not worry.

i definitely saw this dog on Lake Dam on Saturday.. in the morning heading to work, and in the evening coming back. the guy behind me almost hit the dog when he started chasing the car and ran out in front of it

i was hoping he would be found since he had a collar but i guess they didn't get to him in time

Yeah, it made me throw up. The flies were thick, but i def tried to look for a tag. They don't make water hot enough to wash that smell off.

It's okay because, just like in warcraft, the dead slowly disappear.

I wouldn't have posted if the dog didn't have a collar...no tags, obviously...but he was someone's pet!

I saw a black lab puppy for like 3 days straight hanging near the main road I take to get to the highway last week. Probably about a year old. It had a collar on, so I just assumed the person't house he was in front of was the owner. Last Thursday I was on the way to work and he was in the middle of the road splattered. I stopped and pulled him off the road. He had tags, so I called the number on the tag. That WAS NOT a very enjoyable conversation.

^^ no, not at all. the lady that answered was just all crying. saying that he had been missing for about a week, how he was only a puppy, etc etc. I apologized, but told her that i went through a similar situation except my dog was never found (dead or alive). And that in that situation, I would have wanted someone to call and let me know just so I could have some closure. She agreed and thanked me. When I came home from work the dog was gone, so i assume they went out there and got him.

it was really just a shitty way to start my day. i don't see how homicide detectives do it.
