What songs do you wish they would play at State games? I think Monster Magnets "Space Lord" would be a cool way to warm up the crowd for the 2nd half. It has a nice build up. Darude's "Sandstorm" also seems to get the South Carolina crowd hyped up.

Do they play "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC? If not, that would be a pretty good one.

I think they should play the Hells Bells song b/c its one of the greatest inspirational songs for a defense in the world.

While watching the Boise State/VT game I heard the VT band playing "Scat Man". It surprisingly sounded pretty cool.

Can't disagree more about that Wagon Wheel song, even it does say "Raleigh" in it. They played that at halftime last year and it put people to sleep. Least football-y song ever.

DJ Khaled - All I do is win

Saw Auburn play this in the Clemson game and it seemed pretty fucking awesome. Pump up song, fits what you trying to do, and the crowd gets into it.

it's pretty obvious that when the home team runs out we start jumping and then along with it go "ooooooooooooo" and get louder like "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH" and then switch to "PACK! PACK! PACK! PACK! OOOOOO PACK! PACK! PACK! PACK! OOOOOOOOOOOO! POWER PACK! POWER PACK! BACK THE PACK!" and then play a loud rockin rap song or somethin. i think it would get things crazy.

what we REALLY need to be worrying about is when the OTHER team runs out and we give them the COLD SHOLDER

lol at the Tecmo Bowl song.

As someone else said, I just really don't like the Wagon Wheel song. I'm aware that a lot of people do like it and sing along. But I just hate the song...I haven't heard it yet this season though.

Actually Sandstorm is a South Carolina thing.

I don't care what kind of music it is as long as it gets everyone hype. While watching the Cincinnati game I remember them playing "This Is How We Do It" by Montell Jordan. I remember they sometimes played that when I was a student circa 2002-2006. It looked good on television. Everyone looked like they were having a good time, which is good for our image.

actually sandstorm is a widely used how to be lame song.

a lot of electronic music isn't as timeless as things like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.

Anyone who opposes that song is wrong.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if that DJ Khaled song is part of the men's basketball intro this year.

Also, nearly any RATM song, but preferably Testify. Seriously, that build up at the end of the song (around 3:00) could get me jumping up and down even if I was half asleep.

^haha that'd be sweet. I absolutely loathe most of the "pump-up songs" that get played at most sporting events so I don't know that I'd really be able to contribute fairly to this thread.

Fuck yeah it would.

Or the intro to Prequel to the Sequel would actually be pretty rad for entrance music.
Seriously. The first 90 seconds of this would actually be epic.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-4ghKA0HTk

I agree entirely about most "pump up" music. Contrary to what most people seem to believe, a song doesn't have to be horrible, forumulaic and generic to get you pumped.

TV On The Radio - Wolf Like Me is catchy as fuck and has wolf in the title. The lyrics are not at all about football, but a few of them could definitely apply.

I personally think the team should come out to "locked and loaded"...but you know...no bias there or anything

but yea I agree with what you mentioned. Heck, you could straddle the line of generic/pump-up but not completely trash with something like Unearth.

It just gets old when every single stadium/arena out there uses the same songs over and over (regardless of whether they are good or not). It is like there is some magical rule out there only allowing them to pick from some pool of like 25 songs. Take the time and pick something original to your school.
