I figured aliens as soon as they started talking about the secret base in the mountains. That or time travel.

Either way this show failed completely in the set up where Lost was great. I don't even remember one characters name. This show is completely about the story and nothing about the characters, so I don't really give a shit. And when they try and stretch it out for 5 seasons I'm not going to care because who are any of the characters.

So in the event its not aliens, my other theory is that all those people who are in the holding facility are really from another wormhole like event similar to that one. They got beamed from their time (either future or past) into the present and then were placed in that holding facility.

I just watched this last night. It wasn't bad I guess but it feels very generic. It feels like it is trying very hard to be a mix of Lost and Flash Forward. And as said in the second post, did they really have to have it start in an airport/plane? I'm pretty sure that just about every Lost fan out there immediately thought of Lost. The color scheme of the plane was even the same as Oceanic 815.

Maybe if it had come out 5 years ago I would feel better about it but after Lost, Heroes, Flash Forward, V, Fringe, and maybe even Smallville it doesn't seem too unique.

Another thought... if homeboy really wanted to stop the plane from crashing into the president there are tons of things he could have done on the ground to stop it from taking off in the first place. Hell all he had to do was pull out his gun during boarding and start shooting windows out and yelling that he had a bomb... that would have at least resulted in the flight being canceled.

Interesting show. Who gives a shit if some of the devices are unoriginal. The overall plot seems somewhat original but not superoriginal. The time shifts are a bit much to have to keep up with when there is a week between episodes though.

Nevermind I caught it on Hulu. I was harsh on the first one but gave it a chance and this one wasn't as bad. It certainly won't be of Lost caliber and the script etc. could use some work but it is entertaining to some degree. It will be interesting to see how the role of the "double agent" plays out.

Didn't get a chance to either of the first two episodes till today. First one was nothing special IMO...second one kept me interested at least. I'll definitely watch the next few before I really judge it too much. But it seems like it may have some potential. Kudos to those who called the aliens...never saw that coming lol.

We don't know for sure that it's aliens though do we? That presidential adviser said they were of extra-terrestrial origin, but he was only basing that off our scientists assumptions since the group of survivors from the 1944 crash hadn't told them exactly what they are. They might be time travelers or humans from another dimension.

i'm really enjoying this show. i just read that Blair Underwood (the pres) said that there were 5 months between filming the pilot and the second episode. it could be why the first episode wasn't as good as the second - they could have changed up some of the writing, design of the show, etc. hopefully it sticks around.
