What are poeple using for tackling? It seems like the top 10% of players use some different form of tackling that causes my players to fall over or lose the ball, but doesn't take them out of position or cause them to wipe out like a slide tackle.

I use a button to tackle an occasionally use the slide tackle. What are these people using to make my plyaers fall to the ground but they never get a foul called for it? I don't know anything about soccer. Is this even realistic?

Anybody good putting dip on shots? I read something about how you can flick down the stick right before release and the really good players will dip the ball so you can score from further out. But I keep sending my shots into the 10th row even with David Villa and Messi.

Xbox but my disc reader is on its way out. I have world cup on PS3 though TOO BAD I CANT FUCKING PLAY ONLINE.

As for tackling, that tends to happen when someone picks a douche team ie. chealsea, barca, real madrid, spain, england, etc and you pick a regular 4-4.5 star 80ish average like a decent human being. I however usually don't tackle, I turn off auto switching, hold down b (to send in a second defender) and try to cut off passing lanes and then when it is passed i immediately switch and hold down A. BTW in fifa 11 if you slide tackle at the same time they get possession of the ball you almost never get a card, at least i don't even when its from behind, or slightly early sometimes

Jockey holding L and R to face the man with the ball. Then press and hold A to press the defender. If successful the guy with the ball goes down sometimes. It really has to do with how well positioned your defender is before tackling.

Thats what I do but it seems like others are using something completely different. I'll have guys run at me from any direction (when i play against elite users) and when they reach me its as if i got hit by a truck and collapse from the collision while they keep going with the ball.

How is everyone shooting? I know I'm not shooting right because I just got shutout on 12 shots on target 17 total shots with Brazil.

I mean it totally depends... Check the finishing stat of your players... Just because a player has a high number in his position doesn't mean he can shoot. If I have someone who can rip the ball like Gerrard or Ibra then i have no problem just shooting a regular shot from like 40 yards out with the bar like 3/4th full. That will go in like 1/20 times probably and you will get a corner like 16/20 times. But i rarely play with milan, liverpool or england. I typically play as Holland or Arsenal. Depending on your formation, make sure your strikers are where they can shoot with their preferred food unless you are a fag and play with barca or real madrid then it doesn't matter just press B as soon as you get the ball and you will win the game.

Basically when i have Van Persie if i am on a break away i will turbo until i'm like 4 yards from the box and then give a soft tap and just pick a corner to kick it in. If i have Sneijder or Van Persie somewhere on the corner of the box and the ball is on their respective side for their stronger foot i will do a finesse shot every single time. If you played fifa 10 or world cup then be aware that i think you have to hold down b much longer. I pretty much try and cross headers in maybe 70% of the time because it is easier and if i'm holland huntelaar is pretty good with the header. Assisted Cross can make this super fucking easy. Do low crosses, don't do ground crosses. I pretty much only shoot if i'm far out, or in the corner of the box trying to finesse or if something else situational happens.

I would say on average i probably shoot like 15-20 times or so in a good evenly matched game probably 13-17 on target... but only score like 3 goals max probably and at least 1 is a header every single game. Perfecting the low shot to the corner on a breakaway is fucking key. Don't finesse there and don't try to rip it unless you have David Villa or Ronaldo or a good english footballer. I think my longest post in this forum is about a fucking sports video game that i am posting at 12 on saturday night and that is pretty fucking sad.

I think my problem is that i'm switching team too often to know the players. Then eventually I end up with a great team and my game is completely off, I get shutout and turn the game off. This is the 2nd time this cycle has happened. Here is how my night went.

Started off with US and played against Spain. I was intimidated after watching the real game and played smart and well

2-0 us
2-1 us (new guy with spain) misleading because i scored 2 in the first 15 then got dominated but held on

Then the guy I just beat goes and gets manu and by now I have confidence so I play ManU vs US and get fucking rocked. Some guys just have a way to tackle where it seems like a foul everytime but they dont get called. They literally just push my guy off the ball and continue like they just went through a kid. Its only 1 in like 20 guys I play that have this tackling and I have no idea how its done.

2-1ManU

So now I'm pissed and think the tackling is because he was manu and go and get barca vs manu but lose again

2-1ManU he didn't rematch

Next I play US vs Mexico and win 1-1 off of penalties guy rematches and when I show USA again he switches to Chelsea so I show barca and he shows Spain so I go and get Brazil.

I end up losing this game 2-0 even though he only had 5 shots while I had 17. I'm lethal on breakaways from the middle but when I come in from the side my guy always shoots it to the nearside even though I try to aim for the farside. Maybe I was tired but earlier I thought I figured out how to bend it and send a high shot but with brazil all I could do was shoot it straight to the goalie. even with KAKA.

But the super tackling is fucking annoying. Maybe its something I don't know or maybe its a glitch but against these golden gods I don't stand a chance no matter what team I have. Everything is taken away instantly, not matter how defensive I handle the ball. If they get near me, not only do they make the tackle, they just simply steal the ball and are off the other way.

With most people, tackles are not won cleanly, there are occasional fouls and when they are won, the winner doesn't keep full momentum. Well here, they make the tackle instantly, keep full momentum, and my player usually somersaults.

People who pick manu barca or spain are faggots. Real madrid really isn't that good unless you are some kind of ronaldo trick move prodigy. I will agree that spain/barca players never get called for fouls ever. I don't play people who pick those teams, chealsea used to be one of those teams but torres sucks and people aren't smart enough to take him out.

I'm prettty good at defense when it gets down to the last 20-25 yards so I generally just put in as many good strikers as possible lol. Terrible strategy but I seem to get lucky stealing the ball almost every time an opponent shoots so whatever. Either way pick a couple of teams and play with them. The us sucks. Ever notice how spanish defenders shoot better than donovan or altidore in the arena? Lol I think the us team is like twice as bad in this game as they actually are. Milan is a good team all around but not OP. Most teams require a formation and squad change. Be sure to check the reserves some squads will have like 3 of the best players in the reserves


I use a 41212 if I have a bunch of good finishers and a 451 (never seen anyone else use this lol) if I have a team with just one good finisher (with the exception of argentina I put like 5 forwards in and just shoot from wherever)
