Let's start a new game in Sports Talk.

1 point for predicting the right winner
3 points for predicting the exact spread
3 points for predicting the exact NCSU score
3 points for predicting the exact opponent's score
=10 points total for getting the game exactly right.

You can join in at any point in the season. Predictions must be posted at least one hour prior to kickoff. Spreads will be an absolute value, so even if you picked the wrong team to win but still got the right number of points separating the two, you get credit.

additional request: If you did something like if you get the score within 2 points +/- you'd get credit for that like:

if the actual score was 10-7 NCSU over some school and i predicted 11-5 then it'd be:

1pt for the correct winner
0 pts on the spread
3possible pts, but being 1 off subtract 1, and i'd get a 2 for NCSU pts.
3possible pts, but being 2 off subtract 2, and i'd get a 1 for the other school pts.
total = 1 + 2 + 1 = 4.

Otherwise i see it being very difficult to get exact scores only. just a thought

I'm ok with giving partial credit on scores, but spreads will stay as is.

New model:
1 point for winner
3 for exact spread
3 for exact score, 2 for being one point off, 1 for being two points off for each team

Still leaves max score at 10 each week.


Btw, 11-5 would be an awesme score to actually see happen

i like this. b/c over the season we can see who is better predictor of these games amongst us. not
just random homer predictions like you see all the time.

also i don't want to forfeit a free point on the 10pt scheme you go there. so i'll pick ncsu as the winner.

Chekowahsuaksi will hit 2 field goals one to break the tie and win the game.

And Mustafa green will fumble on the one recovered by Owens giving him his 2nd TD.

VT is going to have a defensive TD, a special teams TD and a rushing TD. An impressive 47 yard fg to tie.
