Looking to get a 91 Jeep Wrangler painted. Anyone know of someone who will do it relatively inexpensively?

Thanks,

That was my plan, however, my wife wanted to know if there existed a $200 paint job. Back in the day it was Earl Scheib, who would paint any car for $69.99. I know... I am ancient.

Go to Peach if you don't mind the paint peeling off the car within 2 years.

Go to Peach. Before you go, take all trim, mirrors, plastic bits, lights off the car. Leave only the minimum amound needed to drive there. Also tape up around windows and doors yourself. Then get them to shoot the car with their color. Get it home and re-install all the parts. You could wetsand the paint and make it look very decent, but that takes 30-40hrs.

I know a guy that'll paint the whole car for $1000 or so, do any body work that's necessary, and make it look stock.

Sure, you could spend the $300 or whatever for a "peach of a paintjob" but it may be orange peeled and start to flake after a few months. Then again, that's just my experience and it was for a body kit on my old Integra

I got my '82 Malibu done at Econo (in Greensboro I think), respray plus some sanding of surface rust, out the door for $250. Granted this was in 2002. But I was happy with it for the price...yeah, there was some orange peel, but it looked damn nice from 10' away and acceptable closer up, and held up well for the rest of the time I owned the car.
