I run two different sets of speakers at different times (in car most of the time; exterior speakers for tailgating, etc). Instead of disconnecting/reconnecting each set at the amp every time I want to change speakers, I'd like to just install a select switch.

Would something like this work? Do I really need a special switch or can I just get a 2/3-way toggle?

We just use a DPDT switch at work, but our speakers are normally just a two way radio speaker and switching between the one inside the truck and the one outside.
