What papers or projects or reports are you working on right now? Anything bigger than your regular class to class homework qualifies. Internships too. Let us know what you are working on, and if you are so inclined share the progress you make over time, especially for those semester long projects. (feel free to share work related projects too)

For me, right now, I'm doing some consulting work (as a part of a class project) for a non-profit that has recently gone through a merger. Its eating up a lot of my time to conduct interviews, and to drive out to the different branches for meetings. I'll have a big paper, and a lessons learned presentation due at the end of the semester about it.

I just finished up a human resources paper on managing downsizing in governmental agencies. I had a power point presentation on organization culture and learning a few weeks back. Luckily I haven't been overwhelmed with power points this semester as I have been in some past ones.

I've got a 20 page research paper on volunteering and another paper on negotiations coming due in about a month. I've known about that research paper all semester long, but have only just now managed to make myself start working on it. And while its not a project per se, I will be taking comprehensive exams in early Jan so I'm having to do a lot of studying for them now.

I have a 20 page lit review (with corresponding presentation) due November 8th on multicultural competency in genetic counseling.. the presentation isn't until November 29th.

Then I have a journal club presentation this week on counseling strategies for individuals with Williams Syndrome and how they retain the material.

Then I have ANOTHER presentation due November 30th (yes, right after the other one... right after Thanksgiving) that I'm giving during chart conference* about Marfan Syndrome and the clinic we have here.

*where all the geneticists/doctors present interesting cases to each other or new developments in a clinic... eek

I will be making a final decision on my master's capstone project (we don't have a thesis) before too long. I think I'm going to look at the psychosocial differences between women who are told their child will have a disorder (probably going to go with chromosomal anomalies) and are in their 20's versus those that are in their 40's... Maybe look into specific genetic counseling strategies that could be employed during those situations, too.
