I fucking hate facebook integration on most sites. It's seriously obnoxious, especially when they expect you to make comments on their site using your facebook account, or when they track how many times people have liked their article, as though you give a shit or something.

It's just annoying, really. I want my facebooking to stay on facebook.

I used that other thread strictly to discuss the aging user base issue. But I figure this Str8BacardiL thread is a good place to discuss the increase in alternatives issues. I'm glad I'm not alone in seeing this as an issue.

Even without integration, we could steal ideas from social networking sites.

Maybe photo tagging for pics in our photo galleries?

Maybe the events in out TWW Calendar could allow the option of people clicking to attend, or sending invites to TWW Calendar events. It might increase use of the Calendar.

I don't think we should become facebook, myspace, or any other social networking site. But there's no reason that we can't steal a few good ideas... the ones that best fit with our current way of doing things like enhancing our existing Photo Galleries and Calendar events.

We shouldn't try to be something we're not, but we should try to be the best version of our selves we can.

myspace integration is where it's at.

its lame and somewhat retro, so its only a matter of time before hipsters pick up on it.

Along these same lines - i was just updating my profile and noticed the AIM section...

It would probably make sense at this point to update that section to something like Twitter.

So how about this but for Google+

I feel like we would much more likely share something from TWW onto G+ than Facebook
