I can't imagine what you're going through. Between the shock of the suddenness of all of this, the crippling emotional pain of the loss of a loved one, and the lack of explanation as to what the hell happened, my head would explode.

Not really... he didn't really have many more details than I had, but I asked him some questions and gave him a few contacts so hopefully early next week he'll have something.

This all is dragging on way too long, I want it over already.

It's interesting to me how sometimes I'll think of TWW out of nowhere and get smacked in the face with tons of memories of me laughing my ass off for years at a time. Then I miss this place, and come back just to see if it's still here.

But I'm glad that happens - because otherwise I never would have known about this. So, sorry I'm late, but zorthage (see I even remember my crazy code.), I want you to know of just one more person whose life Christine touched.

She was a gem of a lady, and I enjoyed every minute I spent with her. I wish you the absolute best as you continue to move forward, because, you were an awfully lucky guy to catch her

RIP sweet Christine.

Ok so there has been news, but I've been trying to make heads or tails of it for awhile now to no end. I know many of you have asked me so here it is...

Per the toxicology reports that came back, ambrosia1231 died of an accidental overdose of hydrocodone and ethanol. Now there are still some open questions surrounding her death
- She had gone to the ER earlier in the day because she passed out behind the wheel (why we believed it was a seizure or something similar). While there, she didn't have any of the drugs in her system and supposedly went straight home to bed because she wasn't feeling good
- There were no open alcohol containers found in her room
- There were no drugs containing hydrocodone found in her room

But thats unfortunately the details that have come up. The hospital where she went to the ER hasn't been the most forthcoming with details and/or information when requested and most of the investigation avenues that I've been working with the detectives in Loveland have come up empty. I wish there was a better answer to give, but there just isn't and there probably never will be.

I know she was always blatantly open and honest, so she's going out that way.

Do you believe that the people at the hospital administered the hydrocodone?

RIP Christine

Thats one of the open questions... They give her Vicodin \but there wasn't much documentation stating as such. And the dosage wouldn't explain the levels they found in the toxicology report, but there aren't any other places we're found that she could have gotten it from either.

Dumb question here...and I would normally not ask this question because it would seem offensive, but everyone seems to be extremely open (mainly zorthage...which I think is very big of him)...how do you determine the difference between an accidental overdose and a regular overdose??

And didn't ambrosia1231 have some depression issues??

there is no real way to determine it, but all of those close to her believe she would have left some sort of note, at least to zorthage.

We're not going to find out anything more. The hospital is not helping what so ever and the police investigation has stopped. It sucks, but officially she died of an accidental overdose.

Did she do it on purpose? I don't think so, but I wasn't there to watch. Was someone else responsible? There really isn't any evidence to say yes, but plenty to raise the question. I'll probably never find out for certain why my wife ambrosia1231 died, but life is shitty like that at times.

As for jbrick83's question, I rely on the medical examiner to know the difference between an accidental and regular overdose. She had plenty to live for, but she had too many drugs in her system when she passed away. Whether she meant to do it or not, only she knows.

So for all intents an purposes, there won't be any more answers as much as I, her family, or friends want them. She's gone and we have to deal with her being out of our lives. Today was 6 months to the day that she passed away (and what would have been our 2 year anniversary too). RIP Christine, the world is short one superb human being.

^^ And yes, she's had some depression issues. Nobody thinks they were bad enough to make her act on them, but like I've said, we weren't there so we will never know unfortunately.

You can only do so much without getting lawyers involved

And honestly at this point I don't want to relive everything if I can avoid it. Her mother was looking into getting legal advice though.

Yeah I don't know how you can handle it... if it were me, I would be fighting the hospital as much as I could and not leaving till I got answers.

Sorry again for your loss.

I too would like to know this... (not necessarily talking about ambrosia here)... when they find certain levels of certain drugs in the bloodstream, how do they know if they were administered intentionally or accidentally, especially when there is no trace of bottles/containers around?

Pill digestion?

I imagine that there is quite a difference in the appearance of the stomach contents of someone who swallows a hand full of pills at one time and someone who takes a fatal amount in multiple doses. There are many people out there who will take more of a medication or a different medication if they're not getting enough relief in a short enough time, but aren't aware that they're poisoning their body. And then on top of that, certain medications will leave a person addled enough that they'll forget that they've already taken it.

It was described to me as not being so much the state of the drugs in her system but how her body was found and what they found out she did before passing away. Although those do play a role obviously...

- She wasn't found in a typical 'suicide' position, everything appeared that she had went to bed and just didn't wake up.
- There wasn't any sign of it previously in the day in her actions that they found.

They did say that the drugs in her system could be viewed as being on purpose, but after the investigation was done, they didn't think it was likely. But in reality, we'll never know

Its crazy how random things still remind me of her. And how after working with people for awhile they get the courage to ask how I'm doing or get details... and how I still tear up if I stray from my now repeatable answer.

I still have pictures and videos on my cellphone of her I can't make myself delete. And I know I have a copy elsewhere so its not for fear of losing them forever. Including a tittybpic

Went to eat at Crazy Fire two weeks ago and given that thats where she worked when i first became friends with her, it was pretty sad because i used to go there just because she was working. The food aint that good afterall lol.

also a few weeks before that I ate at cafe carolina, when she worked there she would ALWAYS bring me (theft or purchase?) a big honkin brick of rice krispy treat because she knew i liked em that much. good times!
