A friend of mine is going there for business and she was looking for fun non touristy stuff to do there, such as good restaurants and bars. 11/15/2010 1:33:43 PM |

dining and nightlife are all things that tourists look to engage in when touring.
maybe you just want to sleep in your car the whole time you're there? 11/15/2010 1:36:21 PM |

Back when my girlfriend was looking at grad schools we took a road trip to St. Louis. The touristy stuff was pretty nice (arch, budwieser, broadway) but most of the city was terrible. 11/15/2010 1:45:51 PM |

Budweiser and Grant Farm are touristy but still fun as shit and the Arch is surprisingly fun too. I enjoy St. Louis 11/15/2010 1:52:15 PM |

Head to the loop over by Wash U. Great college street. Bud Brewery is cool, and you can walk around Soulard afterwards. They have a decent farmers market there. Downtown, Washington ave is the best thing around. You can also head to the Shlafley brewery (its similar to our big boss, but bigger and better).
The "non-touristy" designation is a bit difficult, but thats what I can think of off the top of my head. 11/15/2010 1:56:08 PM |

I agree with all that. I would also recommend the City Museum, its pretty cool. The STL zoo is pretty good also. There is also the Lumiere Casino or any of the casino boats. I'm originally from St. Louis and there is honestly just not much to do there 11/15/2010 4:41:21 PM |
