If you plan to use it for watching movies and you are looking at the budget laptops, make sure the screen and/or the video card support full 1080p. My mom got a Samsung one from Best Buy because overall it was a good deal when it was on sale, and neither the screen nor the HDMI out support full 1080 horizontal lines. Screen was no surprise, but i kinda  when i hooked it up via HDMI for the first time and saw my options for output resolution. She can't tell the difference, but for people with discerning eyes or a very large TV it is sure to be a setback.  12/3/2010 9:53:01 AM
