Where is a good place to buy them where you can sort by size offset weight etc. Tire rack has tons of inventory but for my car they limit the available offsets. And I know it's so they don't get complaints about rubbing tires etc. But to run wider tires one cannot use the factory offest which is pretty much what they limit wheel selection to.

Any one have favorite wheels?

I'm looking for light and strong as the primary goals looks matter but not much.

fwiw, the best information i've ever found on wheels has always been listed by wheel brand/style/size in some ungodly list on some obscure forum. That and it's somewhat hard when the manufacturers' websites aren't 100% correct

Never a fan of those. You have 5 lug. I hear that is a pain on a s13

i'm looking for a 17x8-8.5 on a 5x100mm bolt pattern with a +40-+48 offset (stock is +55)
that is around 15 lbs and strong as possible.

but no place allows you to search by bolt pattern and offset... only car model and that won't work with wider tires

7.0" (+37mm to +57mm offset, +55)
7.5" (+40mm to +54mm offset, +55)
8.0" (+43mm to +51mm offset, +53)
8.5" (+45mm to +48mm offset, +45) *will need to roll the fenders if tires are wider than 255
9.0" (+43mm to +45mm offset, +43) *will need to roll the fenders if tires are wider than 255
9.5" (+38mm to +40mm offset, +38) *will need to roll the fenders if tires are wider than 255

enkei RPF1 is my favorite wheel at the moment. too bad I'm 4-lug

'95 and up 240sx SE models are 5x114.3 (or 5x4.5 for you domestic heads)

lol 4.5 or 114.3 hmm i wonder which system they were designed in.

i don't think you have to be a domestic head to call that 5 on 4.5 lol

I'm 5 on 100 which is almost as bad as 4 on 100

s13 se is still 4lug. S14 base is 4 lug. s14 SE is 5 lug.

s13 5lug convert is super easy. Rears just bolt up (z32, j30, s14, whatever) fronts just get the conversion hubs. cake work

Are the conversion hubs just the S14 SE hubs?

I like my RE30s, they meet your light and strong criteria. They're a little time consuming to clean though.

You can use s14 SE front hubs, but you also have to use the s14 SE Spindle and its assorted components. IIRC its the ball joints that are different so you just switch LCA's.

its easier to just use the aftermarket solution. i have ichiba (SP) "s13 conversion hubs" from e-bay. They are s13 hubs that use factory s13 wheel bearings (i replaced both immediately with OE nissan bearings) and just bolt on. takes 15 minutes max.

I want these rims for my S4. Good thing that this car looks exactly like mine so I know what it'll look like.

I want 18's instead though. The 19's are a little too negro for me.
