I don't have to google to know they're doors that swing open toward the rear of the car (opposite of normal).

I guarantee the Redskins draft him. Especially since the last Auburn QB they drafted turned out so well.

Good enough that the Panthers will think he's the answer and draft him

Bad enough to not be the answer and stick us with another freshmen QB and a 2 win season in 2011

Anything has got to be better than Clawlson. Look at how Sanchez came into the league, we could hope for something like that happening.

Warren Moon think all the criticism is racially-based.

If you really look at newtons game, size, and skillset I'd say he'll end up being closer to Roethlisberger or even maybe Joe Flacco than he is to Vick or Young, he much bigger than young or vick and can definitely see where someone could see it as racially based because there are more white QBs he's like than black ones.

i just hope when he plays that game and we get to comment, it's not for the panthers. i'm trying to think of other QBs that might be "slick" like that article makes him sound. pretty much the only one i could see is Jimmy Clausen

a lot of those traits the scout listed you could tell from just watching him on the sidelines. I mean he was acting "too cool for school" even when they won the NCAA title.

He's the same height as Vince Young, about 10 pounds heavier, always plays from the shotgun, and has pretty much the exact same 40 time. I'd say the comparisons are valid.

^If Vince Young is actually 6-5 235 I'd be shocked

I still consider young's game much closer to Vick's than I would Newton but I'll fully concede this along with the size/weight could just be my eyes playing tricks on me.

Also, I like Vick's game anyway so no real judgement on styles or etc. Vick throws much better than he's given credit for I think the only drawback is durability.

If the Panthers draft this clown with the #1 overall pick they should just fold the franchise.

He is going to suck total nutsac in the pros.

Take Dareus and look for a QB next year.

There isnt a single good QB in this draft so why draft one just to prove it?

He has size like Roethlisberger or Flacco. But that is really all he has in common with them.

He runs and passes like Vince Young. Strong arm, questionable accuracy, suspect decision-making. Also, much like Young, he has major character and maturity questions. And as noted, Young is almost the same size.

In summation, he should be compared to Vince Young.

newton has total shit for footwork, completely collapsed against Oregon in the title game, isn't known as a thinking QB, has almost no collegiate QB experience, and he's a run first QB in a pass first era of the NFL.

He looks like a 3rd round pick to me if you want to take a flyer on a guy that could maybe be one of the worst starters in the league on any given week.

Cant believe anyone would risk their franchise on such a raw project without that much upside.
