Looks terrible. Previews are so bad I'm not going to watch the premiere.

It's got H. Jon Benjamin, so that's something.

FOX up here in Boston is showing four-second ads for this show during the GB/Philly game.

I HATE CHANGE!!! GIMME BACK MY LOONEY TOONS!!!

no, but really- family guy and southpark both looked like they would suck, and looked how good they were (note, not saying "are" - I know a lot of people have gotten tired of both shows... but I still like them , and they were both hits)

i'm willing to bet that fox noted out anything funny

because with bouchard, benjamin, and mirman, this shit should be gold

but we know what fox does

It was very rough. I laughed a couple times, and the humor is right, but the writing is... meh.

Bunch of haters in this thread.

Humor was spot on. Looking forward to the rest of the show.

It was preceded by a mediocre Simpsons episode and followed by a very unfunny Family Guy.

It was good, but I like pretty much all of H. Jon Benjamin's characters more. Especially Archer, I can't wait for that to start back.

The wife is annoying as hell and only the youngest kid seemed to be interesting.

What about it was spot on? The tired cannibalism jokes? Maybe it was the lazy autism punchlines?

To me it just seemed like a recycled mishmash of significantly funnier animated shows.

actually I thought the Family Guy episode (at the the first part of it) was one of the funniest this new season. Peter Griffin jacked up on RedBull? awesome.

Bob's Burgers was 'ok'. I'll watch it again, mainly because I think it could get really funny.

is it really an advertisement when the whole episode is how it ruined his kidneys? that doesn't seem like the pub that a product would want

The kerosene drink ruined his kidneys, right? So the product placement is drink Red Bull, you'd just ruin your kidneys trying to come up with an alternative.

Seeing as how this thread devolved into a Family Guy discussion, this Bob's Burgers show must be absolute shit. Glad I didn't waste my time watching it.

Disappointing. But sometimes these things take a while to get good. I'm willing to give it another chance.

Ugly Americans is probably my favorite relatively new animated comedy though.

I'll watch it again because of the time slot, but I don't think it will last very long. There doesn't seem to be a lot of room for character development. Other than the little girl, all the other characters were uninteresting.

^Yeah, and just like you have been repeatedly saying in this thread about Bob's Burgers, a lot of people refused to watch Ugly Americans because they thought the previews were stupid. In actuality, Ugly Americans is absolutely hilarious. Don't be such a stubborn jackass and just give it a chance before you talk shit about it.

I've now seen both episodes on Hulu and I will be watching the third episode live tonight on television. Unless the AFC game is super amazing and then I'll watch the third episode on Hulu as well. But either way, I'll be watching episode 3 because I think Bob's Burgers has more potential than any animated comedy since Animaniacs.

^^^It's certainly better suited than the new Adult Swim show God, the Devil & Bob, which is just plain outlandish for Adult Swim.

I watched it last night b.c I was too sick to change the channel. it was HORRIBLE.

the character's voices were so annoying. the story was stupid, and the art itself was awful.
