Oh the internet trolls are real mad about this one. I guess since they don't have any sports teams to bitch about they have to complain about this hire! He's from New Jersey AND a Syracuse alum! Two strikes!!!

Seems like a good hire IMO. Also seems like a destination job for him since his wife is from Jonesville. I wonder if he will continue his national play by play work since we will obviously be participating in all the national tournaments in all sports so he would need to be available for our team broadcast.

Heard he was a finalist for the Panthers job.

Sure he wanted out of Washington state. not the university bu the state, although he was on the east side which is better.

Yes Gary Hahn is from Indiana. His predecessor Wally Ausley was from NC but he graduated from UNC!!!

His wife is from Jonesville. He previously lived/worked in NC. Seems pretty clear they wanted to move back.

I've just seen a bunch of complaints that they should have "promoted" the guy who does baseball/women's basketball. Calling it a terrible hire without ever hearing the guy call a single game. Like the guy does national broadcasts for westwood one, he is objectively good at play by play.

Yeah I kinda assumed the guy that does baseball (Andrew sanders I think?) would get the job. But I don’t pretend to 1) actually care and 2) know how qualified he actually was for the position or if he even wanted the job!

He also does women's basketball, but i can't say I've ever listened. But football/basketball pbp is a completely different animal than baseball (which is really just carrying on a conversation for hours and occasionally mentioning what happens) not to mention this job involves a lot more in regards to coaches shows and whatnot.

The little bit I've heard of Sanders he was fine? But he didn't wow me too the point that I was like OH YEAH THIS GUY NEEDS TO REPLACE GARY "ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS" HAHN

im going to miss gary, when watching games at home i would run a FM radio input through a pc to sync it with the TV. ok with this hire, sounds like he knows what hes doin
