Yeah, pretty much all of them do. Roomstore is another one that I've purchased from before and got a good deal. 1/14/2011 11:35:29 AM |

I didn't know most of them financed
I'm still looking to get something on the cheap side, say between $1000-2500 for living room stuff depending on wither it's a sofa or living room set 1/14/2011 11:47:48 AM |

^^ what kind of stuff are you looking for?
Unless you are buying a complete package, something like Rooms To Go can be a big ripoff. Do you have an overstock/unclaimed furniture type stores near you?
My friend just got basically the same couch that RTG was selling for $2000 for $600 at an unclaimed furniture place near us. I got some $750 bookcases for <$200 at another similar store. I'm sure Raleigh or wherever you are at has some of these places as well. They aren't always worth it but unless you plan to "buy the room" like RTG has (you can get some ok pricing then) their stuff is fairly overpriced individually. 1/14/2011 11:56:38 AM |

honestly, it depends on what it is. The only thing I really need is a sofa and love seat so I wouldn't spend as much on on just those two items. However, I found a living room set for $2200 that I really liked. It had the sofa, love seat, 2 end tables, coffee table, 2 lamps, media cabinet, and 50tv and although it's not forever furniture it looked nice and was good price. 1/14/2011 12:05:04 PM |

yeah RTG is doing a deal now for a living room set for $2200 with a 55" Toshiba HDTV (1080P) which is an awesome deal with 0% financing if you pay it off in 3 years.
we bought living room and dining room sets from them 2 years ago and paid it off during the promotional period. same as paying cash and helps boost your credit score when you pay it down. 1/14/2011 1:05:25 PM |

never pay sticker price on furniture, they will always drop it 1/14/2011 2:16:48 PM |

The financing cost is built into the price of the furniture at places that offer 0% financing. You're paying for it whether you realize it or not.
Keep thinking I'm the ignorant one.

almost every furniture store I have been to has offered 0% financing. If they have built in the 0% interest into the price, then you would be a fool not to take them up on it.1/14/2011 2:31:25 PM |

Pro tip: They'll drop it significantly more if you are paying cash.

How much money would it take to furnish an apt (living room, bedroom, and office)?
Also, can you haggle at RTG or is it pretty much set? 1/14/2011 2:53:27 PM |
